Alabama Poll: Roy Moore Maintains Solid Majority Support, Double-Digit Lead Over Strange

Yet another poll has come out of Alabama showing conservative Roy Moore leading establishment-backed Luther Strange in the U.S. Senate GOP primary runoff, this time showing Moore’s lead back up to 15 percent.
quote:
Strange’s most significant endorser, President Donald Trump, has backed off his support for Strange since the primary. Trump endorsed Strange to help knock out Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) in the first round, due to a number of comments Brooks—who supported Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for president in 2016—made during the presidential primaries last year.
quote:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is strongly backing Strange, with a PAC affiliated with him called Senate Leadership Fund spending more than $10 million to try to buy Strange a full-time slot in the U.S. Senate. The group has run scores of attack ads, but none of them seem to be working, as Moore maintains his lead.
Strange has been trying to get Trump to come campaign for him, but Trump has largely stayed out of Alabama due to Strange’s lackluster chances of winning and a packed September legislative agenda complicated even more by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Strange’s alliances with acolytes of GOP establishment consultant Karl Rove–Strange hired Rove’s ex-chief of staff, and the Senate Leadership Fund’s top executive is longtime Rove ally Steven Law–have been further insulting to the president. Sources close to the president tell Breitbart News that his withdrawal of support for Strange in the runoff has been in part due to Strange’s cozying up to Rove. President Trump previously told Breitbart News he thinks Rove is a “dishonorable guy” and “shouldn’t be allowed to write for the Wall Street Journal” because of his dishonesty.
McConnell and Rove have the sads.

I told y'all that Brooks supporters weren't going to go for Strange.
I saw a article right after the primary by one of the "experts" that said Moore had reached his ceiling at 39%. Those pompous fricks didn't learn a damn thing in the general last year.

Moore is going to win.
The media is too dumb to realize it.

If this is true and Trump is using Bannon to push the candidate he really wants, that is fantastically executed politics right there.

The melt shall be glorious to behold.
And I don't even particularly care for the guy. It's just entertainment value at this point.

McConnell and Rove have the sads.
It's like saying you weren't cheering for LSU once the 4th quarter came around against Bama on 1/9.

You need to pay closer attention to what is going on.

Why don't you link the Infowars take on it, troll?
If you knew anything about Alabama, you'd realize that the only endorsement that matters to the millions of simpletons is the one Roy has claimed. Savvy politics on his part.

I can if you really want me to but I doubt you have a mind open enough to read something that isn't within your comfort zone.

Is there such a thing as a low point for Alabama politics? If there is, this might be it.

I'm not saying Doug Jones has a chance....but Doug Jones might have a chance.
Roy Moore being elected to the Senate would be a total disgrace.

Breitbart's take on it is in the OP FWIW.

No, we are going to spin it as ANOTHER arse kicking for the Democrats.
To Hell with the Democrats. They may never win another Senate seat the Republicans now hold.
Media propaganda Joe Goebbels would be proud of and you liberal cocksuckers still can't steal a Republican seat in a half Black state.

Wait, there's a guy named Douggie Jones running for that seat? I'll have to try and influence my family up there.

If it's Jones vs Moore I'm very curious who the affluent GOPer in the suburbs votes for.
There are a lot of Doug Jones signs around Mt Brook.

Figured OTM GOPers would be all over Jones. He has a lot of connections with those types. I hope everyone understands that vote won't be auto Moore.
Curious if it looks the same in Huntsville, Mobile suburbs etc?
I just don't see the different demographics of the AL GOP coalescing like they usually do if it's Moore.

Unlike your bunch, we'll go against our leader when it's for the good of the nation as a whole.
Y'all would have followed fricknuts if he'd decided to invade hell without question.

I'm guessing a lot of them will just stay home. Will enough stay home for Jones to win? I highly doubt it, but it will be interesting to watch.
