nine Hellfire missiles
How many launch platforms were involved? Hellfire missiles cost in excess of $100,000 each. The U.S. seriously wanted that guy dead.

nope $25,000 each

still a lot to kill a dude. I wonder if they REALLY wanted to make sure he was dead.

I also have a vision of him doing some matrix style moves to avoid the missles

I have a hard time imagining the unit cost could be reduced by over 75%. According to this LINK, the most recent purchase of 550 missiles cost $58.5 million. That works out to just over $106,000 per missile.

I hope they used the special Oscar Meyer thick-cut bacon wrapped missiles.

They are nothing more than rodents who have to be exterminated. I don't even like typing that but there is no way around it. There is no changing these people's minds. They are religious nuts who have been indoctrinated from birth. There is no cure for that.

How do we know he was there and we got him? With that many missiles there's nothing left but his component atoms.

Even if the cost is true, hellfires only weighed about 90lbs each. Smallest "missle" (big arse rocket really) we had. I'm sure the bigger and better missles cost more

I wonder if we could revive the privateer notion and set bounties and allow the market to take hold.

Would be cheaper

Problem is everytime American Privateers were captured or killed the US Government would be expected to respond-- look what happened after the mercenaries were killed in Fallujah.
