A bunch of y’all are saying the man was wearing Timbs and carrying a hammer.

Seems like bs to me, as I can’t find a single report that says that. Where are y’all getting this?

Well, you asked where the shite came from. Seems to me a picture is worth more than words.

I guess I'm going to have to look into this story.

I know nothing about it.

Something about a muslim guy getting shot is what I'm guessing.

Let’s say he just conducted a B&E...you justify two guys running him down, Forrest Gump style and murdering him?

No it doesn’t. So maybe the guy wasn’t a saint but he certainly did not deserve that. That’s why I typically wait for the facts to come out in a court of law. There’s one side and there is the other and the truth is somewhere in between. Video snippets can be taken out of context. But I don’t see any reason a guy should have been shot and killed for this unless he was running away from an active murder or a rape. Or something to that level. Anything less doesn’t deserve it.

No way that there was a hammer and it wasn't located and secured into evidence. A death having occurred at the hands of another person, that incident scene would've been cordoned off and most certainly the path of the deceased would have been walked to look for any potential evidence precisely like that hammer. Who knows, maybe that did happen and maybe a/the hammer's in evidence, but if not....there wasn't any hammer.

The phone takes HD video, but iPhones shrink and compress videos sent via messages to a really crappy level.

When the trial takes place, there will be full HD of this video for the jury.

I still don't know why people take video with a vertical camera when the aspect ratio fits the screen perfectly if the phone is turned horizontally.

Im not saying that it’s right, but the second he goes for the shotgun, it’s kill or be killed.

I agree with that. But the two guys should have done things a lot differently. It really shouldn’t have gotten to that point and wouldn’t have if not for the way they chose to approach the arrest. Which is why they’ll likely pay a price.

Also, if I were the burgler, I am going to get on my knees or run the opposite way through some yards to try and escape. I’ve already commited a crime so to hell with trespassing. If the shoot me on the ground on my knees or the back trying to escape then justice will prevail. I’m certainly not running right through them. That was dumb as frick too

No dude, he was obviously a home inspector, appraiser, or real estate agent ! We don't think the rednecks were right but that doesn't make this guy an angel either.

Unless the original guy with the gun wasn't legal in what he was doing at the moment.

Otherwise, as an example, an argument could be made that a person threatening people with a gun, say a would-be hero goes in to grab and wrestle the gun away from the threatening person but would-be hero is shot and killed in the process....in that scenario the threatening person could have a self defense claim.

I agree with that. They put themselves in this position because they were ex-cops with a God complex. It’s a shame that this tragedy had to happen.

Those aren't hightops.

This guy was obviously up to no good, however that doesn't mean the posse should load the boys up in the truck and go hunting for the perp either. Hell, they had someone videoing like they were on Live PD or something.

Just a shitshow all the way around. And that DA is gonna get roasted.
