I was convinced in 1998. I think most were. But here we sit with increasing use of carbon based energy and increases in CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Yet we are not seeing increases in temperature. Why? Is it possible that we don't fully understand CO2 atmospheric impacts like we thought?

Serious question.

Do these 97% know what % humans are responsible for?

We have discovered that those in this "consensus" were fudging the data.

You set up a system that handsomely rewards those "scientist" who get on board.

On the other hand, we have discovered that you set up a systemt that ostracizes anyone who dares to disagree publicly and you use the MULTIBILLIONS that have gone into propagandizing this religion to do it.

To the left, this has become a religion.

Like all religions, the main concern of the AGW fanatics is to make money off of it.

Your side made a complete baffoon the face of your religion and he's already made such outrageous claims (the polar ice caps would melt by 2013) that anyone with a brain should question this religion.

When it was clear that the "science" wasn't matching the predictions, you actually changed the entire f*cking name of the movement. There was no announcement, no fanfare -- you just got your Komrades in the mainstream media to change the name from "global warming" to climate change.

At this point, anyone with an IQ above 10 who didn't sit the f*ck up and say, "WHAT THE MOTHER F*CK???" has absolutely ZERO credibility and is merely a Kool-Aid drinking HACK.

You set up an entire religion based on the following --

quote:

Cold Summer - Fault of Climate Change
Moderate Summer - Fault of Climate Change
Hot Summer - Fault of Global Warming
Cold Fall - Fault of Climate Change
Moderate Fall - Fault of Climate Change
Hot Fall - Fault of Global Warming
Cold Winter - Fault of Climate Change
Moderate Winter - Fault of Climate Change
Hot Winter - Fault of Global Warming
Cold Spring - Fault of Climate Change
Moderate Spring - Fault of Climate Change
Hot Spring - Fault of Global Warming

Too Many Hurricanes - Fault of Global Warming
Average Number of Hurricanes - Fault of Climate Change
Very Few Hurricanes - Fault of Climate Change

And, on and on and on and on ....

And, you expect to be taken seriously???

And, finally, as a solution, and in true demented liberal fashion, you propose the one true liberal solution to fixing every f*cking problem under the sun -- LET'S TAX THE EVER LIVING F*CK OUT OF IT AND REDISTRIBUTE THAT WEALTH. Liberals don't care about FIXING the so-called problem -- they just want to put another f*cking tax on it -- just like everything else.

And, after all of this -- you really expect rational thinking people to take you seriously?

It only means they have a theory.....an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is not known or proven to be true.

So basically......no, there is no scientific data that would change you're mind.
Apparently their data collection practices were proven to be fraudulent in past studies.

Didn't have time to read all the responses, but hopefully someone said that - typical - the Liberal response to AGW is to tax corporations and redistribute wealth.

Even if AGW was "settled science" (and I seriously doubt it is), the Liberal response is the typical social justice b.s. rather than a practical, effective, and direct solution. Thus, my side views the entire matter with sever apprehension.

If you age kooks were really sincere, why wouldn't Al Gore be Public Enemy #1? His home uses 12-20X more energy than the the average home, he flies around the planet on private jets, etc. His carbon footprint is the equivalent of Shaq's size 22 shoe.

And yet, he's the face of the age movement.

Call me when you guys stop being a complete joke.

Nope.

Yes, and not doing anything about climate change is where the big money sits right now. Any sort of carbon scheme is going to affect big oil, and they do not want profits impacted.

Hmm. Who is "we".......because apparently the overwhelming majority of scientists look at the trendline in the OP and conclude that the general trend is currently toward warming and that evidence leads them to conclude that man's carbon output actively contribute to it. I don't know what else to say and really my point is that there aren't really any more scientists to help the cause because they're already all saying the same thing.

wait, are you saying you're including highschool teachers in below par school districts in your "97% scientists agree" claim? What qualifications does a school teacher have?

Think about it seriously for a moment.....if 97% of climate scientists agree that humans are, in fact, at least partially responsible for climate change......what could possibly change their mind? 99% of scientists? 100%? I think thats doubtful.
So I assume you believe in creationism? After all, 97% of priests believe it to be true.

Or maybe you're Muslim? Because almost every Imam believes that Allah is the God.

You're entire post is a logical fallacy. Appeal to authority. Look it up.
