I’m Trump all the way, but this is ridiculous. Not a single person you name has done one damn thing to further the conservative agenda, where DeSantis has done so over and over in Florida.

Mind you, I’m not saying you are wrong. He could go hard establishment if nominated and elected, and there are definite signs of this, but come on brother. Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney 2.0? I wouldn’t tag my worst enemy with that moniker.

And this is how Republicans lose what should be winnable elections. They are perpetually happy to cut off their noses to spite their faces.

Democrats will line up behind whatever bozo they stick up there with a D behind their name. They hated Biden...until he was the nominee. Harris couldn't get 1% of the D vote in the primary. If she were on the ballot against Trump or DeSantis she would be treated as a "hero".

The sad reality is that most elections come down to a lesser of two evils. RARELY will check every single box, and there will ALWAYS be reasons to not support them. But would you rather the alternative?

That's EXACTLY why Louisiana, a state with 2 Republican Senators, 5 of 6 Republican representatives in Congress (the only Democrat in that group being the result of an absurdly gerrymandered district specifically created to elect a Democrat), and a near Republican super-majority in the state legislature, ends up with a two term Democratic Governor. The Republican voters in-fight amongst themselves and stay home out of spite when there preferred Republican isn't in the runoff election.

Trump/DeSantis 2024. Trump needs a tail gunner and DeSantis needs to learn the ropes in the Swamp.

uh, No.

They tolerated Trump for risk of being crushed by his supporters. DeSantis is on video saying this exact thing. Paul Ryan was willing to sacrifice his speakership just to oppose Trump. McCarthy has had to make major concessions because he was viewed as Paul Ryanish

So the relationships were always just a one way street. Thanks to Trump

If DeSantis wins the primary, let's hope you change that mindset.

Someone on that ticket you put up didn't learn the ropes in the swamp and got beat by a old demented grandpa.

DeSantis over Biden or you’re a Marxist swine.

But it’ll be Trump anyway, so moot point.

I absolutely believe you. One of the hallmarks of a cult is unquestioning loyalty to the leader and a total severing of ties with anybody who's not also 100% loyal to the cult.

Its funny how BDR gets hammered for hanging or being supported by some in the GOPe yet in four years as POTUS DJT did nothing but appoint GOPe members to almost every position of power in his admin.

This is why conservatives can't get any traction. Well, one reason.

I’m certain I will be ridiculed and castigated to hell for saying this. But if Desantis has any morals at all, he would forego any attempt to become president and throw his support to Trump! Anyone who can not see the bs thrown at Trump the past eight years has absolutely no serviceable reason to be president! Fire away????????????????

Nothing against DeSantis, but no one has convinced me DeSantis isn't being used by the establishment.

If they don't get him everything he wants, they are bums. McConnell got him his tax cuts and judges. Ryan got him tax cuts....could not get him the health care win he wanted, but then again Trump promised something outrageously spectacularly great to replace it, but did not remember to send the legislation with the great stuff in it.

Mitt Romney....he didn't do much, but originally did not stand in his way. Chris Christie was a former governor, so I don't see how he could provide anything of substance.

I still don't get the white hot hate for McConnell.....or Ryan on this board. It borders on the insane.
