Regardless of personal persuasions and opinions of Barry, I truly hope he has a succinct and explainable strategy lined up b/c this has been allowed to continue for far too long.

It's a "world" problem now, not just US/Syria/Iraq so everyone needs to contribute to the effort.

Sadly I don't think the American people will remember any of those things.

No it doesn't. Well not any History that matters, anyway.

This should be his "Mission Accomplished" moment, but the media won't do its job...

But the reality of being an executive (whether government or otherwise) is that you have to deal with the reality you were handed. Bush should have never had to deal with OBL. Clinton should have taken him. But that's what happens when you're the fricking President. You can't look at every one of your own miscalculations and say "well, that's part of a larger issue I didn't cause." No shite. History extends back past his election in 2008.

Please tell me the connection between Iraq & OBL.

There's no connection I'd like to make. I was simply pointing to another calamity a President had which was caused (to some degree) by the actions of the President before him (or inaction, as the case may be).

Understand......the post about we should have never been there is spot on and we helped to really frick up Iraq by getting rid of Saddam. Say what you want but as of right now Iraq would be better off with him vs without him.

Doesn't matter since Obama knew we were there when he ran for the office. He was more than willing to seek credit for his policies with respect to Iraq when he ran for re-election. Is he man enough to accept criticism when the evidence indicates his policies failed? And how does your comment apply to Syria or Ukraine?

No rational human expects perfection from the President. But all rational humans should expect the President to acknowledge failed policies and modify them. Will Obama acknowledge the failures of his foreign policies?

Rather than clearly see the persistent dangers as the United States approaches the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, they said, Mr. Obama perpetually imagines a world as he wishes it were.
