Hillary Clinton casts Bernie Sanders as an unrealistic over-promiser in her new book, according to excerpts posted by a group of Clinton supporters.

She said that his attacks against her during the primary caused "lasting damage" and paved the way for "(Donald) Trump's 'Crooked Hillary' campaign."
Clinton, in a book that will be released September 12 entitled "What Happened," said Sanders "had to resort to innuendo and impugning my character" because the two Democrats "agreed on so much."

quote:

"Some of his supporters, the so-called Bernie Bros, took to harassing my supporters online. It got ugly and more than a little sexist," she wrote.

quote:

In her forthcoming book, Clinton noted that the Vermont independent "isn't a Democrat."
"That's not a smear, that's what he says," she wrote. "He didn't get into the race to make sure a Democrat won the White House, he got in to disrupt the Democratic Party."

After outlining how she disagrees with Sanders' view of the Democratic Party, Clinton concludes, "I am proud to be a Democrat and I wish Bernie were, too."

quote:

Clinton wrote that President Barack Obama counseled her to "grit my teeth and lay off Bernie as much as I could," according to the excerpts. That strategy, Clinton wrote, made her feel she was "in a straitjacket."

quote:

She noted that Jake Sullivan, her top policy aide, told her that Sanders' campaign strategy reminded him of a scene from the movie "There's Something About Mary," where a hitchhiker says he has a plan to roll out seven-minute abs to top the famous eight-minute abs.

"Why, why not six-minutes abs?" Ben Stiller's character asks.

Clinton wrote: "That's what it was like in policy debates with Bernie. We would promise a bold infrastructure investment plan or an ambitious new apprenticeship program for young people, and then Bernie would announce basically the same thing, but bigger. On issue after issue, it was like he kept promising four-minute abs, or even no-minutes abs. Magic abs!"

Her ghost writer should have named that tome of stupidity "It wasn't my fault".

"wah Bernie actually pointed out what a pile of shite I am trying to win the nomination for himself instead of simply being a prop so the DNC could pretend to be Democratic"

Folks, I don't care if Trump turns out to be the worst President in the history of this country, we still dodged a HUGE bullet by not having this moron win the election.

Sure, blame it on Bernie and not the fact that she and the DNC literally rigged the primary in her favor. Nothing is ever Hillary's fault.

So politicians promise outlandish things during campaigns that they know they can't keep if elected? Who knew?

I love that she uses this analogy as her defense. She's stating that she's equivalent to the serial killer with the brilliant plan to take 1 minute off a famous ab workout, and that Bernie is the good-natured Ben Stiller who pokes an obvious whole in the logic.

It really is the perfect analogy, but not at all in the way she thinks it is

Bernie supporters rightly saw Clinton for what she is: a corporatist, warmongering neoconservative whose foreign policy was no different than Dick Cheney's and whose domestic policies were anathema to progressive politics. She is a vile, disgusting human being.

So its Bernie and Obama's fault she lost.

Finally something those two wastes of humanity did that i can appreciate.

From the bottom of my heart, "Thanks Obama!"

Hey hillary, Maybe don't do so much for the past 30 years that gave bernie so much material to castigate you as a corrupt and crooked piece of shite then eh?

This is funny as shite coming from the woman who had the CTR army and damn near all of silicon valley including google and twitter in her corner.

She's too out of touch to know the humor in the Something About Mary reference.

It is somewhat perfect if you picture Ben Stiller as Bernie and Hillary as the hitchhiker, especially when you think of the sudden seizure like reaction.

Neo-liberals are a thing you know?

Why do you think she ran as Obama's 3rd term?

Does this wretched count really want to bring attention back to those emails where her and her minions were talking about attacking Bernie because of his Judaism?

I will never forget MSNBC and CNN putting the superdelegates into the delegate counts at the bottom of the screens after Clinton's team urged them to do so.

It made her lead look very substantive even though superdelegates weren't official and had no primary "date".

The whole system was corrupt against Bernie and I can't believe he was such a cuck bitch at the end to endorse her and campaign for her.

In reality though Bernie did cause Hillary to lose the general, he pushed her so far left that that Trump didn't have to go very far right to be in the middle and pick up the moderates who cost her the election, and obviously every one right of Trump was going to vote for at least the more conservative candidate since there was no real conservative option.
