reading the 2nd point revealed him arguing why a state conviction was bullshite. very interesting considering the media kept trying to say he was a "law and order" candidate. the 3rd point is good too b/c it gets into his views on Chevron and the separation of powers issues with regulatory interpretation

Can we ask him his opinion of Tillerson as SOS?

Fox showed a clip of protestors outside the court and they had signs that said OPPOSE at the top and a blank white spot below that.
Then they wrote in Gorsuch with a marker.
They were out there to protest anyone who was announced so when they found out they all had to write his name on their pre-made oppose signs.
I laughed out loud.

Sounds like he loves America. Rare in this day and time.

He was approved 95-0 is the only thing that matters.

Sharpen your knife son.

Totally out of bounds. At least try to act like you are over 14.

I thought his remarks included several beautiful inoculations, including:
"A judge who likes every outcome he reaches is very likely a bad judge; stretching for results he prefers rather than those the law demands."

Yeah he's never ruled on an abortion case.
Fingers crossed.

And you know something? None of this is really about Trump, either.
These are spoiled children we're dealing with. They'd be this way with anybody who'd had the temerity to defeat Hilla the Hun.

It's amazing how, in today's language, this means that he opposes LGBT rights and easy access to contraception, but fully supports displays of Christian symbols in federal buildings.
"Religious freedom" should be changed to "Evangelical Christianity."

Since you're arguing about a contextualist, let's be clear about language: you mean inculcating LGBT as a protected group and repealing the forced payment for contraception by private companies.
I am not a Christian by a long shot, but forcing a private entity to buy and provide a product to which it morally objects is about as gross a violation of liberty as I can think. That belongs right with Robespierre. Five hundred years from now, scholars will look back at that one and shake their heads.

He's Anglican. So probably Evangelical isn't what you're looking for.

If Mike Pence can call himself an evangelical Catholic when talking about his staunch support for religious "freedom," then all bets are off.

I get the sense you're not really sure there is such a thing as religious freedom.
