Well I don't view it the same way as you do. I also think it is bizarre to blame things on "feminists".

When "feminism" hit its stride in the 60s one of its main objectives was to end the objectifying of women as sex objects. Commercial were pulled, i.e. "My wife, I think I'll keep her", policies were changed-stewardesses were no longer to retire at a certain age, etc.

Fast Forward 20 years, and the wife of the POTUS stands by and supports her "man" as he humiliates her internationally. Repeatedly. And her feminist sisters agreed. Why? Because he was right on abortion, had the right party affiliation, and she wanted to be President.

You can be darn sure that if these men had been GOP or Pro-Life they would have been out the door. Just ask Bob Packwood, who was "Pro-Choice", but could easily be replaced with a Pro-Choice Democrat. Which he was.

All the good work that had been accomplished had now been degraded, because these women have no self-respect. All they care about is their Leftist causes, abortion being the most important. For them, it is impossible to have ethics and a policy position.

The very sleazy and disgusting behaviour they had railed about for years, they ignored when it came to their guys doing it.

So now there's nothing wrong with leaving a woman to drown, or exploiting a gullible star struck intern.

All that matters in the end is power. I wouldn't care if it hurt only them. But it doesn't.

Very well said.

Current feminists have completely strayed away from the principles that feminism was built on. I'm not a feminist, in fact I'm anti feminism. Modern feminism has made me feel that way. Modern feminists, especially radical feminists, don't want equality. They want special treatment while screaming rape and inequality all while playing the victim card and yelling about abortion.

While we're on the subject of the Kennedys and women, how many of you are familiar with JFK's sister Rose? They gave her a lobotomy because she annoyed them and she spent the rest of her life in a comatose state. For some reason, she didn't fit into the Camelot narrative.

Major props to the OP for subtle thinking and clear reasoning. Just calling balls and strikes; I like it.

Mary Jo was Bobby's secretary. She knew way too much about the assassinations. She had to be eliminated. Teddy had to take her out, or be taken out.

I like where this is going.... seemingly fair assessment as Ted was never bothered with like his brothers and even put above most of his colleagues.

Refresh my memory did Mrs. Vitter divorce her husband? I can play the tit for tat game with you on that statement. As Speaker of the House, Gingrich fanned the flames of the impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton (for lying under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky). Gingrich said that Clinton had reduced the office of the presidency to the "rough equivalent of the 'Jerry Springer' show." Meanwhile Gingrich was having a torrid affair while married to his second wife with a woman 20 years his junior. No party has the sole claim to actions like this.I also think each marriage is different, and it is up to the people involved to decide what to do.

And as for the Clintons, I'm sure you've never read her book and explanation of how she felt and why she worked on their marriage. Nope, because you have that R meme down pat. And that broad brush of yours loves to paint. As another poster said earlier today there is much to be learned from listening to different views.

It makes me crazy that Ted Kennedy is buried at Arlington. The fat bastard got kicked out of Harvard for cheating, so he joined the Army (during the Korean War). His old man wasn't about to have Pvt Teddy put in harms way, so he pulled some strings, and Teddy spent two years dicking around in Europe.

Two years in the Army, discharged as a PFC, zero combat duty (while other Americans were being drafted to fight in Korea), and this fricker rates a plot at Arlington.

All of this is true, so you tell me why only one party is always accused of waging a "war on women"?

Because the Rs let them. They don't know how to turn it around. Not sure they can as long as they continue their positions on certain social issues.

There is no war on women. There's nothing to turn around. It's kind of like the "Craig James killed 5 hookers" thing, only an idiot would believe it and it's impossible to convince an idiot otherwise.

They don't know how to turn around the accusation Roger. Arguing there isn't one hasn't helped them so far.

That would explain why ignorant crones like Pelousi and Clinton roll around screeching "war on women" all the time right? Because there isn't one. Sort of like Holder playing the race card, no one really believes, except maybe the clowns who will vote for Obama (for a third time).

Probably 10% of the most foolish in our society actually believe it. There's nothing to turn around.

That really helps. Let's call them derogatory names.

As long as the accusation is out there it gains traction. The Rs attempts to fight it have been their usual, ineffective and turning more people off than anything. They need to learn how to deal with the accusation and so far they have not. Most of America is tired of both parties, they just hate the Ds less.

You're one of those 10%, aren't you?

Sandra Fluke may believe it, but she appears to be bat shite crazy. She's not representative of normal women in the country
