2 Washington men, Jose Zendejas and Benito Madrigal classified 'low risk,' released despite $750,000 fentanyl seizure during traffic stop in California.

Yes. 2 traffickers with enough fentanyl to kill a large amount of people was deemed “low risk” by California and turned loose.

All in the name of equity and diversity

quote:

Two accused drug traffickers busted with 150,000 fentanyl pills during a California traffic stop last month failed to show in court Thursday after being released on cashless bail.

Defendants Jose Zendejas, 25, and Benito Madrigal, 19 – released on their own recognizance less than 24 hours after their arrest with the large stash of illicit drugs – were scheduled to appear for their arraignments at the Tulare County Courthouse in central California Thursday morning, but failed both men failed to show face.

The judge called for Zendejas and Madrigal – both from Washington state – who were not in court, and the warrant for their arrest continues. The judge withdrew the prior $2 million bond and directed each be held without bond if they pop up.

Before Thursday, Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said he did not expect the defendants to show up. He placed blame on the state’s soft-on-crime attitude and so-called criminal justice reform for a policy that allowed the two alleged drug traffickers to go free with nothing but a promise to come to court.

The cartels are bent over laughing at the US. Doubled over.

But hey… grandma is in the federal pen for being at the Capitol.

This is “low risk”:

No one is to blame for this. I mean, this was completely unforseeable. Who could have ever guessed something like this could happen? My guess is they had a flat tire on the way to the courthouse or something. Total non-story.

Probably already both dead in Mexico somewhere. US cops are the least of their worries after getting caught.

Did they forfeit a $2 million bond? If so, it wasn't own recognizance.

Article seems to be contradicting itself, or am I missing something?

There is so much fentanyl or "blues" in Spokane right now that the price is down to $2.00 pill. Old price $5.00. That shite is everywhere here right now.
