1300 people killed in Syrian Nerve Gas Attack

quote:

The world has looked on in horror today as graphic images emerged showing the aftermath of a dawn poison gas attack in the suburbs of Damascus that wiped out 1,300 people as they lay sleeping in their beds.

Syrian activists accuse President Bashar al-Assad's forces of launching the nerve gas attack in what would be by far the worst reported use of poison gas in the two-year-old civil war.

Activists said rockets with chemical agents hit the Damascus suburbs of Ain Tarma, Zamalka and Jobar before dawn.

I heard today that we have quietly built a forward operations center very close by. I think we are about to get very involved in removing their government.

Terrible. The issue here, at least for me, is who is responsible. Was it really the Syrian government responsible?

re: 1300 people killed in Syrian Nerve Gas Attack

Obama has told the UN to investigate, no worries.

:InB4whatdoyouexpectObamatodoyoublamehimforeverylittlething:

With Lurch Kerry and Obama on it; they will probably act quickly and send them some money to buy some more nerve gas.

Obama could, make a speech about an arab spring that has turned to red blood and laugh his arse off on the way back to the golf course.

Probably. I still want to know whether or not the Syrian government performed this attack. I trust the rebels as much as I trust their government.

Wasn't Syria the location where Obama said if they had chem weapons, they would pay the price.... Then info came out that they had them and Obama said "Well, we will wait and see".... And now this?

That is the same uncertainty I have. The Syrian army has definitely gained the upper hand of late, so the timing is highly suspect. And the rebels, who have been struggling badly, and are engaged in a high volume of internal feuding, are very aware that news like this would likely bring direct UN intervention. Makes no sense at all for Assad.

Yep, the invasion and 8 year occupation of Iraq was pretty quite.

ETA: And I don't think Assad is retarded enough to do this.

all this is about is Russia wants its pipeline through Syria and the Turks don't and Al Quieda is being armed by the USA to fight against Assad.

Makes too much sense. This being put on the government is much more convenient for the UN and Obama to force the worlds opinion and side with the rebels.

Man that's awful but we have no business in this

And yeah almost guaranteed this is a false flag to ramp up worldwide support against Assad.
