I agree with you. I just researched it myself. How in the world did multiple courts accorss the country uphold that?
Seems like a blatant violation of the student's rights and as a parent with knowledge of this precedent, I will make sure my kids have a cell phone and are instructed to call or text me immediately if they are called in for questioning by an administrator.

ok, why did he make reference to political differences?
You have an issue with him pointing out the obvious?

You interrogate my child alone for two hours then we have a problem. Also, this is what leftists are teaching. Vile
Not just leftists. Law enforcement, courts, legislatures all for this...

Does that principal have a right to detain that child? Or prevent that child from calling parents? Or putting his or her hands on said child to prevent said child from leaving?
Best to tell your child to say I am saying nothing, I am contacting my parents and I am out of here.

His dad even has a beard! I bet he is the reason that boy is filled with so much toxic masculinity.

Probably and if your kids won’t speak to them without you there, they can be punished for that choice but it’s better than them saying something that gets brought up in court later.

According to all the legal precedent I can find? Yes. And not only do they have the right to do that, they are indemnified for any lawsuits concerning it, they do not have to adhere to Miranda, and they can use any information gained as evidence in court.
That is a gross and unquestionable vilaltion of Due Process and how it became precedent is very confusing to me. I will research further.

Best thing to do then in all cases is to tell your child NEVER to talk to administrators or teachers in ANY disciplinary matter under ANY circumstances without a parent present. Period no matter what the school people say.
Treat them like the police. Do not talk to them.

judges hate tossing damning evidence, just like every bastardization of the 4a. and shocking the government would recuse government from liability

You would have no problem if a school held your kid under questioning for 2 hours and then called the police and had him arrested before ever notifing you? You not only do not agree with but do not even understand why that is upsetting to parents?
Infuriating. If no one AT THE VERY LEAST gets demoted over this, that state can pretty much be written off as beyond repair.

Some of you might recall a couple of years ago when my son, then in the 5th grade, was instructed to draw a picture and turn it in as a project, with the picture to be the kid's own interpretation of the moment in the book that had the most impact on the story. In this case, a bad guy shoots and kills someone who is the main character, and she drops dead, bleeding into the flowers in front of the state capital. So, of course, he drew out that scene.
We got a call that the school was going to suspend him over it. Once we got to the school, and determined that it was a book assigned to my son to read and report on by his teacher (who had not read the book in advance), and that there were no instructions NOT to draw a gun, the principal said that she STILL had to suspend him because of their zero tolerance policy.
My wife pretty much came unglued, and I'm sure she could be heard 100' down the hallway, but after we told her (the pricipal) to contact the district superintendent and put him on a conference call, she balked, until we said we were immediately hiring an attorney and that we would be going directly to the local news media.
She capitulated, but we had to go ape on the situation. The whole PC culture has destroyed individuality in our schools.

It's worse than that. They are teaching girls to cry racist and rape because someone disagrees with them.

Not a surprise. This isn't exactly the kind of story the MSM is looking for. But if some of the roles were reversed......
