Notice alot of threads about the fans on here...

I agree. The place last night was eerily quiet. A team with some young star players (particularly at qb and db) needs a crowd to get amped. We can't live off of the legend of T.S. anymore. All those quotes we have read from opposing coaches and players means jack shite now. In this day and age, tickets are priced out to the common man, so old dignitaries will sit on the 50 and quietly clap...I know. But seriously, can our damn students give up the beachball shite and focus on a 10-point game? Can we say frick the wave and try and help out the defense anymore.

And spare me the "it'll be hype when UGa and Bama' come to town" bs. I didn't come to LSU to go to stadiums in Auburn, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa, etc...and wish to be like them. I want to go to those places and think, "damn, it's quiet in here." But the people leaving early in tight games and the students obsessing over alcohol need to shove it. tape a flask to your pants and carry it in if drinking at the game is a must for the 19-yr. olds who can't simply wait their turn. I don't know what else to say...but last night was lame and inexcusable for Tiger fans to accept.

I thought we were better than this...but I guess we can't bring it every game. I will have to wait for Bama' and UGa, right? The team can bring it every game, the band can bring it every game, the cheerleaders can bring it every game, but the fans can't...LAME!
