Hawkins was playing soft coverage because he was TOLD to. Maybe you were the only one who didn't realize the UNT QB couldn't throw anything better than an 8 and curl.

Lay off of him you dumb arse. He kept things in front of him which is good enough against a team that's only going to throw underneath.

if the qb can't thrown anything but that route then it would follow that sooner or later the corner would press that route adn make a play or 2....what bothers me is not that he was giving cushion every time but that he made not one play on the ball...he just doesn't have the skill to play cb in the sec....

the UNT QB

Was sort of a spaz. What was with the epileptic hands prior to the snap?

It was North Texas. Eugene was mostly playing man on his guy and Hawkins was playing soft. Meanwhile, we were blitzing Jones and Coleman. Hawkins never let a guy behind him.

I tried to tell them that, but they obviously don't read posts.

He kept everything in front of him.

I thought he played well. He was right on top of things, and never let a guy get past him. Even if he didn't jump a route, the receiver still didn't do anything after he caught it.

Well, the cb's have largely been untested. I don't believe auburn will be any better. But it will be a step up.

The problem you have is that you don't know a damn thing about the game. You watch it for entertainment purposes and expect to see a fricking circus act every time our boys take the field. It's not going to happen! I don't care if we ran a QB sneak every down on offense and got three yards and a cloud of dust EVERY TIME!

3 yards, 4 plays = 12 yards (enough for a first down)

And if that won us games, no matter what the score is, 6-0, or 60-0, I'd be satisfied.

You want a show and highlight reel type of plays all game long, go watch Arena Football.

That's the best you can do? You can't defend any of the other arguments I made against you? You're pathetic.

I'm not here to argue with idiots like yourself. Just got in from the game and wanted to see what others thought. Don't flatter yourself to think that I or anyone else here thinks it's fun to trade barbs with some a-hole in Kansas who has nothing better to do than jerk off and try and pick fights on the internet.
Get a life...or a hobby...
Useless excuse for a human.

Yeah, I'm just an a-hole from Kansas that has nothing better to do.

I was teammates with Hawkins from the time we were 12 through high school, and I probably know more about him than anyone on this board. I also know that he was doing as he was told, and you took a deliberate shot at him because he was not flashy enough for you.
