The wif got a call from a timeshare company and agreed to pay $150 for a Destin "vacation". There was a 15 day window to cancel which I did in writing. The company (Wyndham) called to say that they are going to reverse the credit card charge but it may take 30 days. Should I dispute this charge when I pay the credit card bill just in case they "forget"? I have a feeling that if I pay the credit card bill in full then I may have no recourse.

I would hold off on disputing the charge until that 30 day window is up. Check their website or get a written statement from them on their return policy in case you do need to file a dispute. If you file a dispute now the company's credit card company will pull the money out of their account and give the company a few weeks to appeal reversed charge. If they appeal it, it will have to be reviewed to see who should get the money and that could take several more weeks. By disputing it now you may end up waiting longer to get your money. Up to 30 days is a long time to wait for a refund though, they must have some cash flow issues.
