What are some good careers you would suggest? I know having a MBA would make it a lot better. But we'll go from here.

I have an undergrad degree in Management and then went on and got my JD/MBA. My management degree was a great help in my MBA classes, especially the quantitative analysis side, but I feel like that I basically got taught the same classes twice. I think if I had to do it over again, I would get an undergrad degree in something else and then go for the MBA. You have more options and are more marketable.

wendy's is hiring.

Seriously anything other than a degree in science/computers/engineering is worthless without a secondary degree. Unless you want to make less than $25k.

Since you are looking at getting a business degree, what I would suggest is a degree in accouting with a minor in finance or maybe a double major of accounting and finance. After getting the accouting degree then go to a highly ranked mba program and work on obtaining your CPA certification (I think that you have to have 150 credit hours to be elegible).

I have to agree with Milehigh about degrees though. Engineering/Computer science/IT degrees are going to be your higher paying starting salaries. The good thing about an engineering degree is its versitility. Many employers would hire an engineering major before a marketing major. Simply because of the difficulty of the classwork.

A lot of people think that if they get an engineering degree they must stay in a certain industry and that is simply not true. You can work anywhere.

I did pretty well in outside sales personally. I found most of management at our place started there.
