It's probably less cost effective cooking for one but when you start cooking stuff like spaghetti, red beans, chili, etc where you can get 6-8 meals for ~20 bucks, you'll save some money Tuna steaks is just not a very good example of everyday home cooking

He must be eating at Applebees every day. Or he's OT rich.

I do the sitin restaurant deal once a month AT MOST. If only a special occasion or an outting with a female. Other than that, it's the stove, or if I'm really lazy (which happened last week) cereal/oatmeal

We've got it down to one night a week out .. Eating out is a massive waste of money .. Drinking wine and beer out at restaurants is horrible ..

restaurants bend you over with any drink you consume. hell, even the soft drinks are ridiculously over priced.

Never understood how people can eat out all the time. If I eat out 2 or 3 means in a row, I feel like shite.

And no way eating out is cheaper than cooking at home unless you're trying cooking up gourmet dishes every meal.

How are you spending $15 a night on fast food?

I couldn't spend $15 at Hardees (the most expensive fast food chain imo) on myself if I tried because I keep most things like drinks, chips, etc. in the apartment.

Hell I just $2 on two McChickens and felt awful doing it cause I have a ton of milk left.

Cooking steaks, fish, lobster is not a cost effective meal. If you have a pantry somewhat stocked it's not hard to cook a meal for $3-4 or even less

I did do the eat out everyday thing when I had roomates ( and they kept the kitchen looking awful). But I still wasn't doing $15 a night.

I cook for my self all the time. Only eat out once or twice a week. I usually spend around $100 at the store and that lasts for a month.

When I go spend a hundred bucks at the grocery store, I eat all of the food within 3 or 4 days. If there is food to eat, I'll eat it

Exactly. Keeping like those 20 count assorted doritos chips and lemonade can save a ton of money. you can bypass getting a combo with a sandwich with just those items alone.

Simply Lemonade is about the only thing I will legit splurge over
