It used to happen a lot in Iraq bc the roads were constantly being repaired from bomb potholes and whatnot, noone ever questioned people covering potholes and sometimes they would do it in the dead of night.
I don't doubt it. My brother was a Marine sniper in Falluja. He spent days watching roads to smoke check the assholes planting them. Sad part is he always had to radio in for the green light. Sometimes they were done before he got approval and sometimes he simply did not get approval. Talk about a morale killer when you watched the bastards walk away from placing those things.

Only problem was coming home and trying to turn that switch off.
I still have trouble turning off that switch when I am driving. I'm getting better at it.
The driving tactics is hardest to overcome, especially when in traffic. You get so used to everyone getting out of your way and the ones that didn't you just kindly moved from your path.

Every politician that ever considers voting to send our military overseas needs to read this and think very, very hard before making that call.
If they go it should be William Tecumseh Sherman style.
