Carrey is phenomenal in this film. Of course Im a bit biased as I think this is the best film made in the past 30 years. A flawless work.

He deserved an oscar nomination for the Truman Show. An excellent movie that as one poster said was ahead of its time.

Unfortunately he will probably be remembered for his one liners in ace Ventura, the mask etc.

Sorta like Arnold is in the 80s action genre. Jim's early standup was enjoyable as well for the time.

I always thought it was a good movie. Nice premise for the plot.

What is real?

The Truman Show is my favorite Carrey movie. I think it should have been nominated for Best Picture.

I think if the movie had been marketed differently, it would've been. Unfortunately, it was marketed as wacky Jim Carrey comedy.

Certainly a movie ahead of its time and I want to go to Seaside everytime I watch it.

All you need to know about Jim Carrey's chops are one scene from in Dumb And Dumber:

"I'm sick and tired of being a nobody...but most of all, I'm sick and tired of having nobody"

Fantastic.

How can the answer not be ace ventura?
I mean the dude literally talked out of his a-hole.

And it worked.
