So glad I traded my ticket to that game for a textbook. Was worth not going!

It's 75 and sunny. It's fun to go out and have some beers and go to the game for cheap ($5). Perfect for families
I can see this. But what does the game really do for ya... What insight can you get from touch football game 6 months before the real season starts.... I guess I have been around LSU fans too long... They think the spring game is gonna decide the starting qb and show that this team is a national contednder due to a glorified practice.....

Everyone knows it's an exhibition, but it's still fun.
And cheap. It's also a 130 kickoff which is perfect for everyone.

And we're not going to contend this year, so I for one welcome our new Buckeye overlords.

quote:That was the last home game of my senior year. Crappy outcome, but we did end up in the NC. On a positive note, I briefly met James Laurinaitis at Little Bar after the game. Nice guy.
It's a cool stadium to watch a game. Last time I was there was for the 2007 Illinois game.

Did you ever meet his older brother?

I had a cousin on the Illinois coaching staff that season so I got two free tix and went down early. I had corner endzone tix. A few things I'll always remember from that game:
1. Juice Williams played like an actual QB for the first and only time in his college career.
2. It was fricking cold that day.
3. Illinois' drive to kill off the final 8:15ish was the best drive I've ever seen in a football game given the circumstances.

Say what you will about Zook, but he won quite a few big games he had no business winning. Also got Illinois to the Rose Bowl.

Congrats on the spring game attendance, I guess?

I guess if you been locked up in your house for the winter its a good outing. I can think of 100 things I rather do than watch LSU spring game. And I love LSU football. Just a couple things off the top of my head
