defense will be a huge ? Because we certainly downgraded our DC. I know there are some children on here who got their feeling hurt that Chavis left and claim he wasn't that good anyway, but the realty is he is light years ahead of Steele.

Really, that doesn't give you concern that in year 3, with "his players" he was in the lower half of Div IA.

Not sure who was making the decision to keep Beckwith off the field last year, but given Miles' loyalty to upperclassman, I learn towards him having some influence over that decision. Regardless, season stats may not reflect it, but in the second half of the season our D was playing as good as any other in the country.

I've been attending games for more than 21 years. But hey, why let facts get in the way of blind optimism.

gump is special ed to the n'th degree. have a little compassion. gump has NOTHING to be happy about, so takes it out on like an internet bully. it takes a special mindset to be as negative as she is.

p.s. i'm working on that compassion, but, it takes sooo much effort!

His defense fell apart when Jarvis Jenkins (41st pick in 2011 NFL Draft) and DaQuan Bowers (51st pick in 2011 NFL Draft) left the team.

If only LSU had someone on staff who was a proven commodity in DL recruiting and development...

The same way you think the west is so down that LSU will breeze to the west title and finish 11-1.

Please, I would like to know your reasoning for MSU at #3?

I'd take us at #3 or #2 in the West with a 10-2 record. We get both State and Auburn early, and in all likelihood, we'll be 8-0 or at worse 7-1. From there, I believe we split the final two so 9-3 worse 10-2 likely.

We don't deserve love until we star winning a lot of ball games. Auburn is going to be nasty and Bama has Saban, and arky is going to be nasty. We have a ton of work to do.

We could have the best 10 offensive players in the world. Doesn't mean shite if the QB can't get the ball to any of them.

really kid...you are clueless. Saw your other thread as well about Jennings starting.

You might want to share with Bradshaw that under Miles, LSU has had a #1 draft pick at QB, and currently had 2 qb's on NFL rosters. I like Bradshaw, but he is clueless on this as you are. Sure Jennings and Jefferson have sucked, but to say there has been no very good qb play with Miles as the head coach is completely ignorant. I don't know why you young kids feel like you need to constantly bash and start threads.

don't waste your time with that troll. MSU is going to have a ROUGH year this year. They lost a LOT of their defense and OL, and quite honestly, many teams figured out how to play Daq. Also, Ole Miss will struggle as well. They have no qb now, and they haven't had a running game in a while.

It's comical all these people in this thread talking about how bad LSU could be. They FINALLY returned a lot of starters and didn't get raped with early entrees......their rb corp will be better, their wr corp with be better...the OL will be the same to better, the DL will be better, the LB corp will be better especially up the middle, and the secondary will be nasty. That's almost the entire team that will be better.....so let's be pessimistic and assume QB doesn't get ANY better (which I think is damn near impossible not to improve).....LSU still will be a better team.

You just have a lot of losers on this site that love to shite on the team....with that girl dukkee v leading the way.

Again.....you claim to be much older, but your posting/knee jerk sytle is much like a kid.

Blind optimism? LSU will be better at every single area this year....at rb, wr, OL, qb, DL, LB, and secondary. The only exception could be special teams....which I'm not sure on yet. LSU returns a great deal of experience this year, unlike the last few years. There is no blind optimism. IF LSU gets any type of improvement at QB...they will be a force to be reckoned with...but hey, I'm sorry to bring a little reality to this thread when the negatigers were having so much fun.
