Who else is here for this chaos??? Wine sale with tons of cheap wine- they advertise it as the Black Friday of wine sales.

Wanted to go scope it out. Definitely not OT wine for sure. Got some decent bottles but mostly poors looking for $1-$5 deals. Place was nuts!

How can it be that big of a sale? State law says that stores have to sell alcohol at X% over wholesale cost.
Do the stores mark wine up SO MUCH that you can buy a $30 bottle for $10 on a good sale? If so, that means the store buys it for less than 10 bucks.

The gf just got home. She has about 12 bottles of wine. She bought a $170 bottle of wine. Yes $170. She said she only paid $60 for it.

I'm not a big wine drinker. I usually pay about $2.97 a bottle for cab or pinot grigio or chardonnay for cooking.
However, I do have a small collection of these (some of which are now worth close to $100/bottle):

I myself was curious as to the why behind such a sale. I think there were some decent deals on moderately priced stuff. However they incent you by jacking up the price. Plus people were buying their normal wines thinking they were on sale too- which they weren't.
No beer on sale but they had plenty alcohol.

Glad my wife dodnt know about this. Shes got a few empty spots in her wine rack and she would've been all over this.
