Minus grades are the worst. I like plus grades though.

Are they gonna retroactively change past grades to +s and -s?

Almost seems like you'd have to

Doubtful. Just keep them as A and B. A = 4.0, B = 3.0

and also they will probably end up saying A+ is a 4.3 but never actually give them out. I think that's what tulane does. Or maybe they just have A and A+ = 4.0 ??

Baylor does this, my daughter was freaked out by it when she realzied 5 A's and a B wasn't a 3.83.

SO if a student makes all C- that doesn't meet TOPS requirements ... I have one in grad school and am not concerned with him as much as I am the son who will be there in a year or so.

Isn't it teacher enforced? Or did they do away with that idea... I think it originally was left up to the teacher whether or not they wanted to implement this new policy... Could be wrong but I thought I saw that somewhere.

Yeah Tulane has the +/- but doesn't have A+. I suppose this is to avoid "getting above a 4.0".

+/- really worked out well for me at Alabama.

Wow! That sucks...

Professors only thought that they were sick of students begging for more points. Think of how many students are gonna be begging to have that A- become an A now.

I think you've just gotten to the real reason they are doing this: kick more kids out of TOPS so they can let in more out of state students and charge more.

The old grading system will run concurrent with the new system and teachers are not required to switch.

READ: profs who have been in the business long enough to schedule their class aren't changing.

South Carolina has +/- grading. However, A+ doesn't exist.

Also, F is just F.
