Wow, going with an Elseworld story is pretty ambitious for them to do an animated series about. I'm definitely intrigued.

DC's animated department has my full support. I will watch and I expect it to be awesome.

yes, DC has it right with their animated work. they focus on making great movies without the limitation of it being for kids. this can be bad though, because some of them are definitely NOT kid friendly in the least (Dark Knight Returns and Batman Year One)

Most of the ones they have put out recently aren't kid friendly and they are doing great.

Flashpoint Paradox
JL: War
JL: Throne of Atlantis
Son of Batman
Dark Knight Returns
Assault on Arkham

They are all bloody and violent. There are deaths, sex, and cursing. DC animated movies are not for kids at all.

Well, I guess I could list most of them.

Under the Red Hood
Batman vs Robin
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
JL: Doom
Superman vs The Elite
Green Lantern: Emerald Knight
Wonder Woman (surprisingly very dark and bloody)
Superman: Doomsday

Has this already come out? I really need to catch it if it has. They did an awesome job with JL: War

It came out a few weeks back. It is good, although not as good as JL: War.

Well crap. How in the hell did I miss that. I guess I know what I'm watching this weekend.

I like the fact that they are bold enough to throw an Elseworld storyline out there for the mainstream viewers. But with that said, I bet there will be plenty of people that will be thinking to themselves "Who in the hell are these characters?".

The Elseworld stories were DC comics that were similar to the canon stories, but had various stuff changed to make them different (and thus not canon).

For instance in the trailer it appears that the dude dressed in black and sporting a goatee is Superman, whose father is Zod (instead of Jor-El). The Wonder Woman appears to be closer to basically a Big Barda type of character. Batman also appears to be closer to basically Kirk Langstrom (Man-Bat) instead of Bruce Wayne.

Spoilers Below about batman vs robin...

I watched batman vs robin last night and it was great. The action was top notch and the story was pretty damn good. It was not nearly as graphic and adult as Assault on Arkham but pretty close. The story line with the Court of Owls was pretty good and I didn't expect the Samantha twist.

But I still don't like how Robin managed to beat Batman when he's still a kid and Batman beat Ra's Al Ghul every time and Ras trained Robin.

The end stage at Wayne Manor and the Batcave was awesome and great to watch. The action and fighting has come a long way from the animated series of the 90s and early 2000s. It's so fun to watch.

Good movie and another home run from DC animated.

Wow there buddy. I'm usually one of the ones who doesn't care about spoilers, but this movie just came out. I'd probably wait a little while longer before throwing spoilers out there about this one.
