Well the Pelicans have been one of the most injury plagued teams.

Davis played 68 games.
Holiday played 40 games.
Gordon played 61 games.
Evans played 79 games.
Anderson played 61 games.
Asik played 76 games.

If the Spurs had won tonight then I would agree with this.

So you're really comparing a bunch of role players to the NBA MVP and 2015 scoring leader?

Right...

,no. I knew our season was over a long time ago. Too many key injuries. We'll take the lottery pick and be back in the hunt next year.

You sure seem whiny.

Injuries happen. If both teams have all of their players healthy all year, I think both would have made the playoffs and the Mavs would be on the outside looking in.

Wrong, come on bro. 19 of the 30 teams in the NBA have missed more games to injuries than the Pelicans.

I don't know the league-wide injury situation, but it's a quantity AND quality issue. If LeBron, Harden, Davis, or Curry, who all have significant value over any replacement player, miss a game, it's much more detrimental than if Kendrick Perkins missed a game.

If one took something like WS per 48, divided that by 48, and multiplied by minutes missed due to injury for player you would get an idea of the value lost for a single player. Then adding up the team's total would give an estimate of quality and quantity of the impact of an injury.

Clearly. They are still around middle of the pack when considering player impact.

What's funny facts are fact. Pels were one of the healthiest teams in the league when going by games missed. Top 1/3 of the league. When considering player impact, they didn't fare AS well but were still right around league average when considering total player games missed impact. That's hardly debatable although you can make an argument in this thread if you'd like.

In two seasons our starting 5 has like 30 games played together. ...i know starters arent important and all but would seem to be classififed as an a team with injuries

Yea I realize that, but other teams have had worse injury insues especially this season. If you want to look around a bit here's a link that explains it a little.

are you using only the numbers that support the rockets being the most resilient team int he league and ignoring who the players are? Saying the Pels have had injuries to more key players than most (starters) is not an indictment on the Rockets and no one has said the Pels are better than the Rockets if at full strength.

Theres a reason everyone talks about the Pelicans having to deal with injuries when they get talked about nationally.

The player impact is included in those numbers. I'm not talking about the Rockets, just pointing out that the Pels injuries have been overblown and they haven't had some horrible health this year compared to the rest of the league.
