Isn't the Lionfish an invasive species?

I was hoping that they were going to spear the lion fish but alas...the grouper took care of bidness.

yeah, they are supposed to be removed, my bad. I don't know why I assumed they were taking it from elsewhere to bring it as a pet.

ETA: There aren't too many places in the US that look like that, which is why I thought they were keeping it. They may be in the Keys.

Seemed like they were bagging it for keeping. Maybe they were going to kill it later to keep blood out of the water but most kills I've seen include spearing. Why risk it with those fins?

Does that shite look like Florida or the Gulf to you? They are bringing that shite back to throw in the St. John's river.

It looks like that grouper has been conditioned to feed on whatever the divers bring to it. Notice how it tries to eat the plastic bag before the Lionfish is released.
It is widely believed that if larger reef fish begin to utilize Lionfish as a food source then the population of Lionfish will be kept in check.
I believe they are "training" this grouper to feed on Lionfish.

You talking baseball? We don't play them. Last football game I went to at the Swamp was terrible.

If it were baseball, I'd go so I could kick that lady's chairback a few more times.
