Pick No. 13
Bud Dupree
OLB Kentucky
Another name that is getting more and more mention moving up the charts, Dupree can fit any scheme that defensive coordinator Rob Ryan can conjure up.

quote:

Pick No. 31
Byron Jones
CB Connecticut
It's hard for the Saints to turn down off-the-charts athletes, and Byron Jones fits the bill. He is one of the stars of the pre-draft process.

What do you guys think of Jones here? I thought he was a reach when mocked to us at 44, and in this draft I think we should try to move pick 31.

I'm always weary of guys who fly up draft boards during this time that you never heard much of anything about during the season.
Now I didn't watch a lot of Big East football so that may be the case. I do know he had a very high pick total last year.

Looking forward to one of these two picks being a complete WTF... and then the ensuing TD meltdown... followed by the "the more I read about this guy, the more I think this may be Payton's smartest move EVAH!!!!" emotional reversal.

Going to be a fun day.

Yeah after we passed on Jarvis Jones and I melted big time, I'm reserving only positive or neutral thoughts on any of our picks

There's not a doubt in my mind Loomis/Payton won't follow the norm. It's worked out in the later rounds...not so much on the first day.

What happened to his old mock? Did we get some new prospects all of the sudden?

I wasn't upset about Jones. I was pissed we picked KV over Reid.

we better not fricking pick vaccarro i will burn my face off with toothpaste

I was melting when they didn't take Jones as well (not to the extent of that guy's melt). I was happy to be wrong when Vaccaro played well. Hopefully last year was an aberration.

alec ogletree.
