Britain's Conservatives Party has announced its ambition to bring new NFL, NBA and MLB franchises to the United Kingdom.
The political party stated in its manifesto that it will push to attract American football, basketball and baseball franchises to be based in the UK. Prime Minister David Cameron launched the party's manifesto on Tuesday, ahead of next month's general election.
The Conservatives' manifesto says: "We will support new sports in the UK, in particular through greater links with the U.S. National Football League, the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball, with the ultimate ambition of new franchises being based here."

We need to put an MLS franchise in the UK.

It's great as an exhibition a few times a season but I doubt there is enough sustained support there for any of these sports to have a franchise. I could see an nba team in other places before Britain.
The nfl franchise in London is a logistical nightmare for any team that has to play them, let alone the team itself playing road games 8 times a year.

If the Concorde wasn't retired, this wouldn't be a big deal.

There are two major issues that need to be considered. The first is travel and the second is time zone differences. Those aren't problems that can't be resolved for the NFL and MLB since their schedules can accommodate travel days, but they are more trouble for the NBA given its current scheduling. The time zone differences would probably be more of a problem for the UK fans wanting to watch games in America than for American fans.
I think the local fan interest would be more than adequate. The geographic area is not any larger than that for many U.S. franchises, the population is more than adequate and they have a perfectly adequate transportation network. They would just need to have the right venues for the games.

It would take multiple teams to work for the NBA. That way teams could play a game on east coast travel to the UK have a day off play a back to back and then travel back to the US and have a day off.

That would suck, but MLB plays baseball games during the day so the NBA could show the UK games during the day.

MLB and NBA are way more nightmarish logistically than the NFL.
