Would be a nice pickup if we don't get Newman.

Foster would have to sit out next year, so it's not really a replacement for Newman

That guy is a beast. Reminds me of Marcus Thornton with way more athleticism

Some major weed issues according to KSU message board. I don't know if he's still hooked or not, but there are some crazy stories out there.

It would be nice if we could get a grad student big. We really don't need any more guards, even if Malik N. goes elsewhere. We need someone better than Darcy M. & Big Elbert.

12ppg and 38% from the field.

Yeah, not too interested.

Have to expect a lot of turnover with the roster after next season.

Since he loses a year, I'd take him. Could be a starter the year after next.

Would be a great pickup.

Transfers thats still have their redshirt available, and can then play 2+ years are great, better than any recruit for any class unless there is obviously a Top-20 talent.

While it would be nice to pickup a grad big, like a Justin Hamilton or Calvin Godfrey type, for a one year flyer, it would also be nice to have one more guard, specifically a guy that is 6'4-6'7 that can play both guard positions.

While yes, Simmons will play some 3, he will unless we pick somebody else up probably play a lot of 4. With a system such as CJJ, which is both a great thing and can be a bad thing at times, need 5-6 reliable ball handlers and perimter oriented players.

This myth that Ben Simmons cannot or should not play the 4 is mostly people that look purely at height/weight/skill set. With Coach Jones there are no set positions really with the exception of a primary ball-handler, and numbers 1-5 for lane assigments. As anyone saw with Duke small ball is still bery effective when you create matchup nightmares with quickness and fast ball movement.

Lineup to start I would assume is this right now.
1 Quarterman
2 Hornsby
3 Blakeney
4 Simmons
5 Victor

If we get Malik slide, Q to the 6th man role, a role he is excellent at.

That's pretty much how I see it. A very explosive lineup with big guards and posts that can really run. It's not like many teams have true back to the basket post players that would cause us problems, if they did, we'd just run them down with our lineup. I've gotta feel Big E will turn the corner and be at least adequate when needed.
I wish Frasier had his stuff together, seems he'd fill that Big guard/sf role well on this team. I really think we are just a competent big away from a special season

You're right. I never watch any games, I should get pumped about an above average volume shooter with discipline problems.

You mean 38.8% FG and 34.7% from 3 last season, where 170 of his 299 shots were 3 pointers. Also, 12.5ppg.

And he shot 42.3% FG 39.5% from 3 his freshman season while averaging 15.5ppg.

This guy is good.

Yep, this is the guy that could ease the blow of losing Hornsby and Blakeney at SG.
