Flynn also didn't shite his pants when he dropped back to pass. Dude was unflappable. Jennings plays way too scared.

It's unacceptable. Forget stats. We don't convert enough drives into touchdowns.. Something Harris has already shown to be far more effective in. 21 TDs would be OUTSTANDING..

There is no justification for a 50% completion percentage season.

Anthony Jennings account for 11 Tds and 7 INTS and that includes an extra bowl game! That is atrocious.

Brandon Harris in severely limited time accounted for 9 TDs and only 1 real INT, the other INT was a hailmary for a potential game winner. Think about that in itself..

Jennings accounted for 11 total tds while Harris still accounted for 9 passing and running.. Harris is a true threat on all phases once we get into the redzone.. which is why it opens our offense up to scoring as a team far better than Jennings. I hated that Harris saw no time in the Notre Dame game.. because you can blame the defense all you want.. but the offense did not put the game away against a weak defense that had literally 3 starters playing.. We should not have had to rely on going for a fake fg.. (I know wrong call but no reason to even have been in that position) Basically we scored our 3 TDs off of big plays.. Fournette housed 2 (one on special teams) and we hit a wide open Dural on busted coverage for the other long strike.. Outside of that our offense was still VERY underwhelming against an inferior opponent.

It's simply unacceptable.. but whatever.. Miles has a his guy. Sorry for the rant.

Mo jeaux is only upset because the thread starter wasn't shitting all over the lsu coaches and program. He gets upset if any qb thread doesn't involve some sort of lsu program bashing. It's pretty sad at this point.

Just to give him his due, it was Diarse, not Dural, that scored on the wide open pass.

Flynn was also a 5th year sr. I'd bet he would have done about the same or worse than AJ his frosh year.

Harris was hurt after the auburn game. I think maybe if he wasn't we would have seen him more. Also all the games but the Kentucky and arky games were close. One screw up from Harris and all those could be losses. So i see what the line of thinking was with Miles.

Also, we barely had any chances in the nd game. Our first offensive possession came 9 minutes into the game. The d was atrocious.

Will these stats get the job done in todays game? The game seems to have changed some in the last few years.

Flynn was smarter than both of the ones LSU has now also.

Hey! Thanks for stalking. It's very flattering. I am however a happily married heterosexual man. Your post also displays an extreme ignorance of my view of LSU football. And finally, can you and your buddies please, please, for the love of God, come up with some new lines? It's so tiresome and trite at this point.

Exactly. This offense we run is apparently very difficult to grasp. (Both QB's we have now had trouble in the past with it) I know we have a different OC than what Flynn had, but it sure does help to have learned any system for a few years.

Look at Mett's numbers in 2012, then look at them in 2013. Hopefully we see AJ or BH progress like this and by their senior year be just as good as Flynn. No need to panic, we could see Quarterman like progress this year.

Flynn's completion percentage was under 60% , in part, because of Les and Gary's penchant for attempting to hit 3 or 4 deep balls a game. Matt was a very accurate short to intermediate passer, much more so than Jennings. Flynn's record as a starter was 12-2(2005 bowl against Miami and 11-2 in the '07 BCS title year)playing against 9 bowl teams. He's about to enter his 8th season as an NFL QB, albeit mostly as a backup. He holds the Green Bay Packers single game record for passing yardage. Jennings isn't done by any means but he's a long way from being as complete a QB as Matt Flynn.
