Braves DFA Juan Jaime and have selected the contract of Sugar Ray Marimon from Gwinnett.

Can someone explain to me why it's almost an even line after what the Braves did to Latos last week? The dudes era is 94.50 FFS

Latos is a solid pitcher looking to bounce back against a subpar team that roughed him up in his debut outing. A lot of value on the Marlins if you're backing them tonight - which I am. You obviously know nothing about betting if you think the Braves will be heavy favorites at all this year - especially against a proven pitcher.

I took the Marta Braves shuttle to the game tonight and you don't have to walk through Underground anymore. It's on the Forsyth side of 5 points.

I don't think there's as much value as you think. Latos' velocity was way down in his first start and he struggled all spring. Not like his outing last week was a huge surprise.

+110 is excellent value considering the lineup Miami fields and Latos in a redemption role. Early season struggles or not, I can't see Latos getting rocked again. Wasn't his velocity at 91-92 last week? That's pretty standard for him.

89-93. Average FB was 91.

But it continues a downward velo trend. When he was at his best he was 93-94 and touching 97-98.

I understand what you're saying about the Braves lineup, but for me there are real concerns about Latos moving forward and another bad outing wouldn't surprise me at all.

I just don't think we know enough right now to call him a "good pitcher". Jmo and something to monitor. The +110 is certainly not bad value though.
