Do you see it as a positive for him and his golf game by actually finishing the Masters? I for one hopes he gets back to or close to the player he once was.

No, it would've been much more impressive if he had not finished

Its a definite positive from where he was 3-6 months ago. I'm a big Tiger fan, won't ever be what he was but still has a chance at a few majors and breaking Sneads record number of wins.

I would like to see him get back to something close to what he once was. He actually had a pretty good week considering he didn't play for a while.

I know people dislike him because he can act like a douche and everyone loves to see a douche fail. I just think it's better for golf for the most high profile player of the last 20 years to be in the mix.

I don't necessarily care if he wins any more majors because my dad is a Jack fanatic and can't stand Woods. I would be worried about his health outlook if Tiger ever seriously threatened his record.

I just think it would be great for the sport to have one of the icons have one last run of great play.

It was an absolute win for Tiger. You had people talking about how he would never get his short game back after the performance at The Phoenix Open. He even drove the ball better this week. His putting inside 10 ft was automatic for most of the tournament

I'll be interested to see how he plays his next event. He always gets up for the Masters. I got to think his confidence is higher than it's been for a while though.

I think it's pretty funny that his haters can't see that he played pretty well. Not a single person on earth would have been surprised if he missed the cut. But why discuss that? I'd much rather debate over an injury/fake injury that I don't care about, only to be told to get his dick out of my mouth and to stop talking about Tiger. Like we're the ones that brought the shite up....

But to answer your question, no, of course it wasn't good for his career that he finished a tourney Or are you just trolling, acting like he was lucky to merely finish?

I don't know how bad he hurt himself, or whether he had to pop a bone back in. But that was real pain. He's not that good an actor.

Solid weekend for Tiger, only a strong Sunday would have made it better. Obviously he wasn't going to win with the way Spieth played but he looked like the Tiger that could contend again if he can stay healthy.

Phil nailed it when he said Tiger would have the last laugh a few months ago.

I, for one, didn't think his short game would hold up because of not playing, but I will admit I was wrong. If it weren't for his short game he would have shot 80 the first day instead of a 73. I honestly think fatigue (mostly mental) got to him today. Sure he may have tweaked his wrist/shoulder, but him playing four full rounds of competitive golf (especially a major) for the first time in forever would wear anyone out.

I don't really care one way or the other, but it's fun to see how many jimmies tiger rustles on this board. His polarizing skills are at an elite level.

He looked like he was having more fun this week and was more relaxed than I've ever seen at the Masters before and after the rounds. (Obviously still intense during)

I think this is a huge win for him. He got his short game back and I really like the new swing when he executes it properly. Just needs to keep working on it.

I think he'll be a top 10 player again soon. We'll never see 2000 Tiger, but seriously, its ridiculous to expect that.

I think he eventually gets 18 or close to it, it will just be spaced out a bit more.

Positive to me. He played well on Friday & Saturday. We'll see how it goes from here, but where he was just a couple of months ago to where he is now is encouraging.

I love to hear his supporters claim that finishing in 17th place in a majors is a positive development in his game. And playing "well on Friday & Sat" means absolutely nothing on the tour. He may well return to playing "well" on a regular basis, but the main problem now for him is that there are too many young guns on the tour that can shoot lights out on any given wkend. I don't hate him, I just prefer to pull for the good guys out there on the tour.

I never said I thought he'd be the old Tiger again. I just like to watch him play and seeing him play better this weekend was a good sign considering how bad he had been.

I like watching good golf regardless. I don't get why I can't like seeing Tiger play well and still appreciate the show Speith put on this weekend?

Why dont you just get on your knees for Tiger pal?

Meanwhile, while I cheer for the players I like is completely acceptable

I forgot the rule that you can only like 1 player on tour.

It's the Dane Cook rule. If it's cool to hate on him and everybody is doing it, then by God let's join the pack and follow suit! Doesn't matter if you don't have a real conviction about it.
