I'm guessing this is for xbone only and the 360 version is still as it was?

Oh wow. I'm Remembering tricks from part one, level my gear instead of my character. I'm using the Crimson something shield and a dagger when not using soul arrow. Backstabbing seems easy with the dagger but I must have died 400 times yesterday trying to parry. Never once parried
Lucked up with strong partners so I'm pretty far into the game I think, but I can't hardly kill anything myself.

So I popped my Dark Souls cherry, never played one before, and for that I know many of you are jealous. .
I went and picked this up Friday and played all weekend.
Story - WTF is going on?
Remember I'm a noob, but it's so beautifully brutal and unforgiving. Always making that choice of "If I died right here, could I make it back here without dying again? No? Back to the bonfire to level up and spend some souls, and I'll try killing all these frickers again."
Think I lost about 8000 souls on one excursion. Hell, I can't even count how many times I've walked off a ledge just exploring. But 4 days in, and I'm hooked. I love the difficulty.
Pure faith build
I've beaten both dragonslayers, the last giant, and the flexile sentry. Still too scared of the pursuer to go after him yet
I also really need to help someone beat a boss so I can get the token and join the blue covenant. If you see any summon signs around for jeyat13, help me out and summon me over. I'm on every night at 9:00.

Where is the hag merchant located after she leaves Cardinal tower? I want to buy some human effigies and the stone so I can open that door to get the stamina ring but she's left the tower and I can't find her in Majula. That's where she's supposed to go to right?
Also, I haven't gotten the mansion key yet. Is there anything in there worth wild to get?
Any tips on the last boss in the forests of giants? Not the last giant, I defeated him already. It's the big knight that gets brought in by the big bird (dragon maybe?). I learned a valuable lessen after my first attempt against him: Choose wisely when you use human effigies because now I'm out and don't want to face him until I hate at least two (remove current hollowing and one more in case he wrecks me) so I can summon help when I attempt him again. Another reason why I need to find the hag merchant.
ETA: Ha! Found her. I feel so

Hag merchant is sitting against the brick wall that separates the Forest of giants and things betwixt.
She blends in with the wall a little, but she's there. Not even 20 steps from the bonfire.

And I think the mansion has a pharros stone. Hold onto it for no man's wharf area.

I played part one a lot but am a part two noob. I've nixed the sorcerer now, going cleric. Found the Fire longsword, talk about a game changer.
Play as you wish, but I learned from part one it's better to spend your money on upgrading gear, not leveling as much.
If you level too far too fast, you won't be able to summon.

Just took me an hour to figure out I had to hit toggle at the bonfire to light my torch at the wharf

I got the game friday. Figured that out last night because of those damn spider monkeys in no mans wharf. You're not alone on that

I have that but prefer the Heide sword b/c I have a lot of points in faith. That sword and lightning scale well with faith. I believe the firesword scales with strength.

Noted. I've leveled my archdrake robes three times and the mace and heide sword once. I'll add more on those tonight, but have mostly focused on raising faith and stamina.

Did not know that.
I've been having trouble getting down the hole to the grave of saints. Even with the cat ring that lessens fall damage, i still die every time jump down to the scaffold.

Go to Heide's tower and farm the spear knight for the Heide spear; put on the old Leo ring and thank me later.

The fire sword is the tits. I've upgraded mine to +4 only because I need large titan(?) shards which I have found any yet.
I've been upgrading my armor and weapons more than my character since I hit 26. Still haven't gone back to face the second boss in forest of giants.

Is that the hole/well in Majula? I've been wondering how to get down there. The guy up by the monument in Majula mentioned a ladder to get down there but I haven't progressed far enough to determine where to find one.

Yep. There is an NPC somewhere who will build you a ladder, but I don't know where. I thought that cat ring would help me jump down to the planks, but i guess I don't have enough HP to pull it off.

Fwiw I survived the fall just to get blasted by the monsters. They are tough I exited with the quickness

You can also use the cat ring, or if sorcerer you can use fall control spell

Home boned with the quickness?

There's a bonfire down there. I've noticed you can warp out if you run up and prompt it real fast while being chased. Nice change over pt 1.
This weapon durability is a nightmare. If you don't almost exclusively backstab or parry, you will break your stuff
