I am late getting started with my lawn maintenance this year. I have a centipede lawn (mostly). And need a good post emergent herbicide for a very large lawn.

I am almost convinced that the big box, big name brand solutions are BS.

What u got?

Pure 2-4-d is where it's at. I left my clovers out for an Easter egg hunt. Before the hunt I had cut them but they'd pop up in a few days. I cut Wednesday and sprayed that night, looks like Augusta national now (ok not that good but it knocked them the f out).

My lawn is Darwin in action. Whatever can survive there is what grows.

Barricade is what I use.

Also, refer to this schedule although Louisiana soil is a bit different than Texas.

Clover. Crabgrass. Broadleafs. And some stuff I've never seen before. Seems to be alittle of everything.
A lot of my yard stays pretty wet. Prob because of thin topsoil with clay underneath. But centipede seems to like it. I used to use minimal herbicide and cut the grass long to choke off the weeds, but I am starting to lose that battle.

Same here and clover is great for your soil. Adds nitrogen.

Use Manor, MSM, or Blade....all the same product(metsulfuron). Much more effective and cheaper per 1000 square foot than anything recommended so far(best bang for the buck easily).
