Federal authorities have charged a New Orleans restaurateur with wire fraud, accusing Jason C. Doyle, 38, of defrauding his investors over several years, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite's office said Friday (April 10). According to a bill of information filed Friday in the Eastern District of Louisiana, Doyle operated, franchised and sold several restaurant business concepts between 2010 and 2014. He controlled and operated several companies, including Franco Development, Franco Management Co., Doyle International, Doyle Restaurant Group Wholesale Co., JD Trademark Associates and LCN-MOL. Franchises under the Doyle umbrella have included The Wine Loft and Huey's 24/7 Diner.

Obviously a douche. Don't do business with douches.

No doubt. I haven't seen him around here for at least 8 years.

Kind of thought he was always a shady character. Heard he never paid suppliers and employees after he pulled out of the New Orleans market

There's a story of his wife stealing eggs from somewhere during his fall a couple years ago. He lived a life like Scott Boswell basically and couldn't keep up. Image was his only option.

Anyone know what his cousin is doing these days? I remember he put a bunch of money into a place near Lee Circle that failed and a place in Metaire that only did ok. Seemed like a pretty good guy to me, but lost track of him.

Was Huey's that place that went up in a brand new building right next to Dorignac's, then shuttered like two weeks later?

Tax fraud is the biggest joke. This guy doesn't deserve to do any time.
$100k they said he owes?
Fix the streets in that sewer of a city, then go after people for tax fraud.
What a shithole.

Dude bilked $15 million from investors, left a trail of unbuilt restaurants in his wake.
