The Braves have a day off. There will be no nut busting being provided by Freeman and Co.

By the way, yesterday Shelby Miller pitched 5 scoreless innings. Jason Heyward went 0-4. It's pretty obvious who won that trade.

Except with worse attendance and way fewer championships to celebrate.

Less douchebaggery and more importance to the world though, so it's a wash.

The Cardinals are king of part of the country nobody gives a shite about.

Wait, you think the country gives a shite about Atlanta and the SE as a whole?

Atlanta is unique in that it houses the world's greatest baseball franchise and the world's worst NFL franchise

If the Braves had no interest in keeping Heyward, then the trade makes perfect sense. However, I think the Braves should have kept Freeman, Simmons, Heyward, Wood, and Teheran and dump everyone else.

It's not that they didn't have interest. It's that they realized he wasn't gonna be worth the $20 million/year that the market will likely grant him. They can't afford to be handcuffed like that anymore. And while he's not Uggla or BJ bad, he's nowhere near worth what he'll get on the market. Unless he has a monster year, and even then, I'd be hesitant to pay him based on one year, a contract year at that.

yea sayhey's been pretty much junk since his rookie year, unless Millers arm was about to fall off there is no way that's a good trade for the Cards.

Yeah, I don't think anyone really gives a shite about the Braves or the Southeast, either.
