So Friday Night Lights just pissed me off...

Season 1: Awesome
Season 2: It's a high school show so there's drama to be expected,but starting season two out with a murder was a bit much. Landry walks in the police station and admits to murder but gets to leave the station, go to school everyday, and play foltball. Meanwhile Smash punches a white kid gets arrested and suspended for the rest of the football season. Racist. STILL, awesome season
SEason 3: Awesome. The show has exceeded my expectations for sure by this point OK OK let's keep it going.
Season freaking 4: I'm halfway through. Lyla, Tyra, Smash and Street are gone off top. Ok. I was ready for Street to go. Saw that being it for Lyla since it was Vandy she was going to. I thought they might keep a Tyra in UT storyline.
But here goes Matt driving off in to the sunset mid season 4? Wtf. I figure he has to be coming back so I go check Imdb and see that his episodes are up.
This has almost ruined the show for me. If it wasn't for Riggins and coach Taylor I wouldnt even finish it out.
So I'm pissed. I figured yall were wondering.

I agree that that was a very abrupt thing to do. We just had the powerful storyline of Matt's, and then they just shipped him off mid-season. I was definitely like
ETA: But that isn't the last episode he's in. He is back in the series finally (or the second to last episode)

He couldn't fap anymore to Minka Kelly while watching.
I didn't realize that Season 2 was in middle of writer's strike so I almost gave up after it. Glad I didn't but the whole J.D. McCoy bit was too much and I almost gave up again.

Season 2 had way to many "sweeps week" plots forced on them by the network. The less said about the murder plot, the better.
But I loved how the show essentially reboots itself halfway through. You fall in love all over again, this time with East Dillon.

Season 2 sucked because of the WGA Strike. The rest of the series is golden.

And that after the east Dillion reboot, they did the right thing and ended it. Granted at this point it was in DTV lol

Season 2 sucked well before the writer's strike. The writer's strike provided a welcome pre-mature death to that season and a quick course correction in Season 3.

It would be hard to dislike any storyline they went with coach taylor.
Next to the murder, coach actually getting fired was the most ridiculous part. The guy wins you a state championship in his first year, gets you there in his third, then gets fired by a guy who was an offensive coordinator for a few games. Ok.
I guess I liked season two better than most though.
Sucks season 4 and 5 are short seasons. I think they are 13 episode seasons instead of 21.
Doubt I'll like it as much without matt though. And it was a pretty crappy way to send him off. Ok buddy just drive off, don't worry about saying bye to anybody or why you are even leaving or where you're going. Ugh.

My first watch I didn't like S4 that much without the usual gang. However when I watched it again Vince was a pretty good story like Saracen. S5 has some resolution for certain things as well

I quit watching this show season 3 I believe. That geek kid and lyla getting away with murder, the new coach getting fired after 3 games, the old coach coming back, the black kid getting his scholarships taken away for one silly incident, him getting hurt, and minka kelly never getting naked was all too much for me. Season 1 was great then if got stupid.

I hated JD McCoy until I found out his father pretty much made him that way. I didn't like that there was no closure with that
