Deus ex :hr is one of my favorite games.

Why on earth can't I get into this game? I was dying for this game to come out, everything about it says "sic would love this", and I always hit a wall when I start it.

Because you don't play anything anymore?

I may pick up directors cut because they revamp bosses and include the DLC. If the price is right, of course

This was before I got married.

It might get bumped up to my "get through it" list after SotC. If I fail again, I'll jump over to Origins I suppose.

Which should I play? I mean which should I buy, download, and never play?

And FTR, the last couple of nights I've been on my PS3, so yes, I'm playing things.

Base game is fine.

There are many ways to play the game. Different trees so to speak. Just gotta find what's most fun

it's been a while but I recall going full assassin with some points in hacking.

Basically sneak into a room, kill a few ppl quietly, hack a computer to get the robots to turn on the bad guys, listen to the sounds of a room of people getting mowed down unsuspecting by a robot, then explore.

I didn't do the full guns blazing Rambo build but I'm sure it was viable. Fun stealth game for sure tho

30 hours into HR - still haven't finished it but I could finish it at any moment, this is exciting.

I tried every style and they all worked. Full hacker playthrough was quite fun

I was like you you. Preferred the silent assassin approach with some hacking thrown in

I never could get into it. One day I may give it another chance.

I played the original for a little bit. It does not hold up as well as you hope.

The story does. And to me, that's the reason why I play it. It is so immersive.

I think we just need to get in the habit of adding a 2 year buffer on any initial release date announced. No surprises.
