Certain people are treating him like the second coming of Jesus? Seriously though what do we all expect him to turn out to be? 1st Ballot HOF, Nice everyday player who plays 12-14 years?

Probably to be very depressed about being in the Cubs organization.

Man, he mashed early in his minor league career. He was irritating as hell. Huge guy who could would make you pay for a mistake....but dammit, he had crazy good plate discipline and hit to all fields. I HATED pitching against him.

Apparently, that's his problem now...plate discipline. Trying to do too much.

That's wild. He was so willing to go the other way and was great at hitting behind in the count. He could really really hit. Who's he with now?

His absolute best case scenario is someone like Chipper Jones. Big 3B who can hit for average and power. But i don't he'll quite get there because of how strikeout prone he is. I think he'll put up similar numbers to Chipper except with a batting average around .275 instead of .300.

Except that lots of people expect him to outgrow that position and move the OF.

Probably start at 3B if Mike Olt can't do better than .160 with a 35% K rate...

I expect him to be a .280/.340/.520/.900 with 30 HR with a good bit of K's but also a good BB rate. He's got a good idea at the plate and maximizes his contact. His career line in the minors is .327/.428/.666/1.095, which is ridiculous.

His long term defensive position may be LF. The question about that is do the Cubs have a 3B to replace him if he has to move to OF or is he good enough at 3B long term?

It may turn out to be that he's a better LF than he'll ever be at 3B.
