Where we are now....

The Starks and The Baratheons

- With Ygritte dead and the Wall still standing, Jon rides out beyond the Wall to meet with the Wildling King-Beyond-the-Wall Mance Rayder. Stannis the Mannis rides in on Jon Snow's meeting with him, taking Mance prisoner.



- Bran Stark and his party (Jojen, Hodor, Meera) come up on the Heart Tree that he's been seeing in his visions, but are attacked by wights. Jojen is killed but Bran, Meera, and Hodor are saved by one of the Children of the Forest. They are taken into a cave where Bran encounters the Three-Eyed Raven.



- In the Vale, Sansa (Stark) Lannister is in "disguise" as Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish's niece, Alayne. After Littlefinger chucks Sansa's Aunt Lysa out of the Moon Door for trying to kill her (among other things), Sansa reveals her true identity to Lord Yohn Royce and his group investigating the death and defends Littlefinger's actions. Littlefinger, Sansa, and Lysa's son Robert leaves the Vale to tour the Eyrie.



- Also in the Vale, Brienne of Tarth and Podrick come up on Arya Stark and the Hound. Brienne attacks the Hound, severely wounding him. Arya leaves him to die, takes the coin she received from Jaqen H'ghar, and buys passage to Braavos with it.



The Lannisters

- After his trial, Tyrion (with the help of his brother Jaime) escapes his cell after losing the "trial by combat" between the Mountain and the Red Viper. In a small, unfortunate detour Tyrion stops by the Tower of the Hand to see that his love, Shae, is lying in the bed of his Father, Tywin. He strangles Shae and then disposes of Tywin with a crossbow while he sat in the privy. He boards a ship to Essos with Lord Varys.



- After her son Joffrey's poisoning and before her father's death, Ceresi Lannister is last seen using the knowledge that her children are in fact the children of her brother Jaime Lannister to weasel her way out of a marriage to Loras Tyrell (The Knight of Flowers).



The Targaryens

- After exiling Ser Jorah Mormont from Meeren after the revelation that he had been spying on her for Robert Baratheon, Daenerys Targaryen is forced to chain up her remaining dragons in the catacombs after Drogon kills the child of a goat herder. Drogon is still roaming free though.



The Greyjoys and Boltons

- Using Theon Greyjoy, now Reek, as a decoy Ramsay Snow takes Moat Caitlin from the Ironborn. As a reward for doing so, Lord Roose Bolton legitimizes Ramsay. The Boltons along with Reek then depart for their new seat, Winterfell.
