I've been out of the system for the better part of a decade, so I'm not going to take a stab at it, but who's the best on campus these days? Who's going to benefit from not having to rush against acacia?

I have a cousin that's going to go through rush. Next year and i don't want them to get pulled in by a bad chapter that is good at rush (phi psi).

Acacia leaving does not affect good fraternities.

I am curious...what makes a fraternity be considered to be a good one or a bad one?

Pretty sure all numbers are up. More kids going through rush than a decade ago. I'm sure you ccan't go wrong with a lot of them as long as you find guys you like. When Iwas in school, acacia was mainly Nola guys. Which basically were a bunch of kids that all went to the same high schools.

A pretty good indicator is what chapter gets the hottest girls from the best sororities at their parties. The cause of that is having cool guys that people like to be around

Acacia was just an extension of New Orleans high school parties

Most of the guys I see at football games in frat attire look like dweebs who wouldn't have gotten a bid back in the day. Now get off my lawn.

The only thing Acacia leaving does is free up a lot more New Orleans kids. Because they were essentially an extension of New Orleans, they rarely competed with anyone else for PNMs.

You're half right. Vineyard Vines is not a big brand at LSU, though.

If you really want to talk shakeups going into the fall rush, Sigma Chi, Sig Ep, and Sigma Nu losing 75% of their membership to national membership reviews makes a much bigger difference than anything regarding Acacia.

Acacia is a poor man's dke. Lambda chi is a poor man's acacia.
