It's happening!
Houston, TX fishing some neighborhood ponds near my folks' house.
After a little thunderstorm, then the sun came out and I could sight fish a bit... Sure enough, the bass were in the shallows, bedded up, some coupled even. Switched to texas rigged black/red 8" worm and absolutely tore them up.
I even saw a school of 1/4"ers at one point, maybe a 10,000 deep.
The warm weather, sun, and fish were phenomenal.
Been too long since I grabbed some lips.
Here's to hoping all of y'all can get on 'em soon too!

Had the best bass fishing day of my life this morning. Caught ~20 in 3 hours or so all in shallow water on plastic. The spawn is definitely on.

Been done for the most point here for awhile. Big spawned out females are in with the school bass on points now so it's been fun. It's been better post spawn than it was during the peak.

Yeah, I caught 9 yesterday with a black and blue tube thing with a fringey tail. And most strikes were a lot harder than usual, I was kind of dissapointed when I reeled some of them in

I've been tearing it up with a zoom super fluke (arkansas shad color I think) in the shallows. I've had a few strikes on top as soon as it hits the water.

Haven't been bream fishing much but they seem to not be hitting top water much. May be on beds

Caught a mess of white perch up shallow in the trees yesterday on caddo. I was surprised to find none with eggs when cleaning them. Caught a pile chasing shad in channels in mid February. The ones in February were full of eggs. Can't figure out if this wave hasn't spawned yet due to the high water or have spawned and are just guarding nests.

Caddo whooped my arse yesterday. Fished from 11-5 with only 1 dink on a wacky senko.

Fished shallows, drop offs, trees, reeds, etc.

Gave me a headache as usual, those cypress tree lakes stress me out, I need a bankline or grass flat

Of the three boats bass fishing I talked to none had caught more than one or two fish. The slot bass I caught in front of them on a jig pole really threw them for a loop. I haven't heard of any good bass fishing reports recently - I only fished one spot in Jeems yesterday and water was 68-69. I'm sure somebody is catching them but with the water falling out it's probably on a different pattern than usual. Good thing is the high water has flushed a lot of salvinia out if Jeems for a while.
