Garret Jones career .811 OPS vs Righties

262 of Tiex's 363 HR have came batting lefty (.866 OPS)

McCann mashes righties (.831)

If Gardner carries over, he hit 14 of his 17 vs RHP last season, .775 OPS

Didi Gregorious .743 career OPS vs RHP compared to .490 vs LHP -- every HR he has ever hit (13) has come vs RHP

Stephen Drew .779 OPS vs RHP, 74 of 97 career HRs

Beltran? 264 of 373 career HRs batting left, .843 OPS

And Ellsbury has been held back as a precaution, he's supposed to GTG

meh

Cases can be made, holes can be poked.

Doesn't scare me.

It's opening day. Went with hunches, like I said in OP.

heard

He will get some Ks, I can also see 4 or 5 ER and not being qualified for the W. 5.17 ERA (4.80 in Yankee Stadium) with a 10.6 K/9 vs NYY last season.

Vet heavy lineup chocked full of lefties, playing at home. Short porch. We will see. Wishing you the best

Doing a small 10-owner tourney for $25.

I'll probably do those awhile until things start to shake out a little and the aces aren't all throwing on the same day.

that is what I did with Football.

its been a few years since I played fantasy baseball in a league but its my first year doing daily leagues.

I think I am leaning a Kluber lineup. 10 strikeouts and 8 IP is worth way more than even Trout + McCutchen could give me.

i always set my pitcher 1st and pick from there. as it seems to be the most predictable. guess it depends if you're doing 50/50 or GPP

I put a lot of focus on bats against weaker opening day starters. Therefore, no Padres (facing Kershaw) and tried to avoid true aces.

C: Buster Posey -- I don't need to look at stats to tell me he crushes at Chase Field
1B: Adam Lind -- I figure that Rocks-Brews game is going to be high soring
2B: Scooter Ginnett -- Kyle Kendrick is Colorado's No. 1 starter? Ouch.
3B: Luis Valbuena -- had to get somebody
SS: Tulowitzi -- High-scoring contest, plus he's healthy.
OF: J.D. Martinez -- so tough to pick outfield with all the top arms throwing.
OF: Marlon Byrd -- righty with pop facing a lefty (Liriano). Hopefully Cisco leaves a slider up..
OF: Avisail Garcia -- I think he catches up to 98 once: STRETCH, STRETCH...YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD
P: Drew Hutchison -- Tanaka lasted until late in the summer with only one loss, he takes his first one of 2015 on Opening Day.

Made some adjustments to this.

Took Ginnett out for Uggla to save $

Carlos Gomez now in for JD Martinez and Carlos Gonzalez in for Avisail Garcia

I am avoiding Hutch at all costs. You absolutely need your pitcher to roll and get the win in daily fantasy baseball and I am not confident in him today. NY will load up a lefty powered lineup against him which isn't ideal for him (he wasn't very good against lefties last season). Plus you have to consider the park plays great for left handed hitters. The K potential is there, but you need your pitcher to get that win bonus and that might be tough (NY is the favorite in this game and the O/U is one of the highest today bouncing around 8 total runs).

On a site like fan duel (one starting pitcher sites), I'd advise against going cheap at pitcher. Pay up and fill in your lineup around him.

On DK, Alvarez is a great option, imo, because you need to start two pitchers on that site. He is one of the cheapest pitchers going today and Miami is favored in a low scoring game at home. With his price in consideration, you can pair him up with one of the highest costing aces to get their ridiculous upside and still have enough money to fill in a decent lineup around them thanks to the price discount of Alvarez.

One of my lineups on DK has Kluber & Alvarez going and a lineup that stacks Brewers & Yankees hitters.

My DK Lineup:
P Kluber
P Alvarez
C Lucroy
1B Lind
2B Gennett
3B Headley
SS Rollins
OF Gomez
OF Ellsbury
OF Beltran
