Oh wow, just looked at his line. He wasn't messing around.

I see why it was a close game. Cousins confuses me. Shouldn't this guy be getting unbelievable amounts of love from around the league and media and from fans?

The Kings were a borderline playoff teams (like the Pels and Suns) before Boogie got sick, and that stupid ownership fired their head coach.

I hope Daryl Morey calls that front office every day asking for Cousins because those idiots might actually do it.

Please no, I'm quite content with Dwight wondering around on the Rockets. Cousins is on a good team is scary.

Westbrook vs Harden Stats
Westbrook scores more points, has more rebounds, and more assists than Harden. Westbrook should be MVP

The thunder have just as many injury problems as the rockets

And yet the Rockets have a much better record than the Thunder. Harden is a much more efficient scorer. His true shooting percentage is 17th in the NBA. Westbrook's is 166th in the NBA.

Not to mention that Harden's great games much more often translate to team success. Russell Westbrook can become a chucker in losses. Helps his stats, but these stats right here don't lie.

Team records when each player scores 35+

Harden: 15-1
Westbrook: 5-8

Team records when scoring 30+

Harden: 28-5
Westbrook: 15-9

Basically, it's absurd to use Westbrook averaging .07 more points per game (in 14 fewer games) against Harden since Harden's high scoring is clearly much more valuable to his team.

I really don't mean to pick and choose what stays are important and when, but Westbrook isn't efficient enough for me to put in the MVP talk this year. I know he's amazing and leads his team to victory, but this year, he's just not on Harden's level IMO.

I dont see how anyone could ignore that Harden put Houston on his back enough to get a top 4 seed in the West this year without his running mate.

Houston caught the injury bug this year and propped themselves up anyway.

Harden
Curry
Westbrook

James
Davis
Paul

The rockets rode harden shooting free throws to the 3 seed.

If the NBA gives that flailing pussy the mvp, then they've basically said "we give up...there's nothing we can do."

Good game by him last night though.

Yes because those 3 stars are the only ones that should be used. Don't look at any advanced stats. Or any efficiency measures. Those are useless.

Harden deserves the MVP.

I can understand an argument for Curry, and if he ends up ultimately winning it, I can't be mad about it because he has been great this season also.

The best player on the best team argument is just dumb though. All that is to me is an excuse for voters to not vote for Harden, because so many people can't stand his game. There are even still idiots that claim he doesn't play defense.

eta: Westbrook being in the conversation is a joke to me. Anthony Davis deserves it before him. Westbrook is putting up monster stats at an extremely inefficient rate. Everything people hate about Kobe's game is basically what Westbrook is doing right now.

While i agree that Harden has been spectacular, saying he is doing it by himself is really doing a disservice to his teammates. It is isn't lime he is running out there with a bunch of scrubs. I think Morey has constructed a roster that really does well with his 3's & layups vs. Long 2 ptrs methodology. Harden is the perfect conductor for that system.

Stop making me want to hate Harden. I really liked Harden, but you guys are insufferable about this stuff. Take everything so personally that when he does something well you shove it down people's throats.

FWIW I think he should win MVP, but now I hope he doesn't because this shite is so annoying.

In the future, I won't start threads when players score 50 points in a game, since I don't want to shove anything down your throat.
