Dude, calling someone acreboy was funny like 3 years ago

Yes. I've said before. Trade Dwight for Boogie, and the Rockets would be the title favorites. I just can't even imagine the terror.

Westbrook was terrible tonight. Brutally terrible.

But if he has a great game a few nights from now and finishes with a triple double, the story will be how he has "back-to-back triple doubles."
Westbrook was my preseason pick to win MVP, but the guy's great stat nights don't correlate with wins like Harden's do. Not even close.

I think Westbrook is pretty much out of the MVP race at this point. Personally, I think what Harden has done is more impressive but the voters most likely have Curry 1, and Harden 2 at this point and I get it. Great player on a team that will win over 65 games. That's pretty freaking impressive.

Yes. And as much as I want Harden to win it, it's rare to win the MVP and title in the same year.

Curry > Harden is mind blowing to me. I don't understand why people have Curry #1. And I really don't understand the best player on the best team argument for a sport with an 82 game schedule and 16 playoff teams. I actually think it's pretty damn stupid.

Agreed, curry has flat out the better team. Of course he'd put up higher #s of wins and good stats.
When your bench is Lee and Iguodala, you're loaded.
If we go based off of PER, WS, VORP, etc
Harden is clearly 1st
AD would come 2nd, unfortunately for him he has Monty and Tyreke

I don't really get it either. Watch the Warriors, and Steph can afford to disappear for stretches. The Houston offense completely runs through Harden. And nobody talks about the injuries because they haven't affected the win-loss column. In my book, either James Harden is the MVP or Kevin McHale is the coach of the year. You can't look at the injuries and the record, and not give one of those two guys tons of credit.

I can't even fathom Harden not winning it. But, damn near everyone who talks about it on television puts Curry even or ahead for it. I do not understand.

It will come down to Curry or Harden. Westbrook is out of it. Davis has no shot.
LeBron maybe could be in the conversation for consideration with Curry and Harden, but he won't get the support.

Holy shite, he actually shot over 50%
Posted on 4/1/15 at 10:51 pm to UNO
For Lebron to win it when 2 other exciting guys(who haven't ever won it) are right there at the top, Lebron would have to average 37/11/9 on 58% shooting.

I don't get the best player on the best team argument.
I mean, the Spurs were the best team last year. Why didn't Parker win it?
Why are the Hawks not in consideration for an MVP candidate? They were the best team for a while, and are a close second.
It seems like the "best player on best team" is an argument people give who WANT to give the MVP to Curry even though his play (while great) has not justified winning the award like Harden's play has.
They use the "best player on best team" as a reason to justify giving the award to a player who has hasn't had quite as good of a season as Harden simply because they like his style better and want for him to win over Harden.

I mean, I absolutely get it. The Warriors are 10.5 games up in the West. That's absurd. As I said before, I think Harden has been better, but Curry has been pretty dang incredible too. He's just had a better supporting cast.

Exactly. Hasn't Harden been #1 pretty much all season? That probably factors in. People are tired of hearing about him...and hey....did you see that cool move Curry made?! MVP!
Posted on 4/1/15 at 10:58 pm to ReauxlTide222
Cousins had a better game.

I'll be back on page 6, when they're finished murdering you

Honestly, Cousins had a really great game tonight. I've got no problems with that claim. A triple double with 20 rebounds and 6 blocks. That's Hakeem Olajuwon type stuff.

I think Harden is deserving but I wouldn't have a huge problem with Curry winning it. I think it should be Harden, Curry, Lebron.
