Its crazy how we got beat up over the JG trade but now with a ton of picks and a rock solid core of players surrounding Brees it seems like they will start singing a new tune about the Saints.

I thought the remarks were spot on and high chance we make a run at it all next year.

Teams that will make playoffs next year but missed this year

I'm excited tbh. Looks like we're trying to learn from the Patriots dynasty on how to handle personnel. I'm by no stretch a Patriots fan but I am a fan of winning multiple superbowls.

The Tampa comment is the only thing that worries me. We can talk all the Jameis Winston shite we want, but there's always the possibility that he turns out to be amazing and we're stuck with him for a decade.

Jameis and Randy Gregory are two players that have high upside talent wise but low basement on the grey matter between the ears. They are missing something upstairs that causes lapse in judgment. Its 100% off the field issues and can he earn the respect.

Personally I think he will. But I don't think it will be a RG3 or Luck rookie season. But you never know.

Yeah I agree in theory but it's always a little nerve wracking when a team in your division has a top 3 pick and needs a QB. You never really know how these things are going to go.

I think Winston's ceiling is Cam Newton. He won't tear anyone apart, but he will cause plenty of trouble and will win a fair amount of games. I don't see 7 or 8 games winning the South in 2015. I think it will take 11 or 12.

A real baseless and homerific opinion here.

this is what I'm talking about... ask 100 people and you'll get 100 different answers. Until he actually falls on his face, I'm going to be nervous.

Jameis brought it for 2 years with rape allegations hanging over his head. He has that rare ability to compartmentalize and block out distractions.

I don't buy this argument that he's a bad kid because he yelled FHRITP in the quad. There's no evidence he actually raped anyone, yet he was able to focus at an elite level despite having the thought in the back of his mind that there was a possibility he could go to prison for the rest of his life.

The way I see it, he has the very intangibles that make for an elite NFL quarterback. I think he'll surprise the doubters at the next level.

I think he'll be a potentially good QB, but I don't see him being the next Andrew Luck

All QB's in the NFL are good, but will he be a Brady,Brees or a Cutler ,Ryan. Plus you never know about injuries. Can he okay beat up?

"Sure things" at QB rarely pan out. Look at Leaf, V Young, Leinart, RG3 and so on. And Winson is far from a sure thing.

While he has the potential to be great the odds aren't in his favor. That's true before you even consider his character. I would give him much less than a 50/50 shot at panning out.

Having said that, I would probably take him if I was the Bucs if I couldn't trade back for a lot of picks. Cap number is not a big deal and you need a QB in this league to win. So when you can get a guy with his upside (even though I think it's a longer shot for him) without mortgaging your future you take the shot.

My preference would be to do what the Rams did to the Skins with RG3, though. Then build a team around the line like the Cowboys did and draft multiple later round QBs each draft for years until one paid off.
