Wilson is described by Rotoworld as "...an unmitigated disaster" for the Jets and is 5-10, 190 LBS.

Print the shirts.

Its like we signed a bust that makes P Rob look like a success.

So that means that Evans didn't take a paycut??? He better be 100% healthy.

We replaced one late 1st round pick for one even worse than P-Rob.

I mean...he may not even make the team, but he does have pretty good slot coverage numbers.

That's exactly what we need. A #3 guy. Boom or bust kind of guy for us. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a good slot guy.

I don't see him playing outside, ever. If he is in the game, it will be out of the slot.

Holder just tweeted that he thinks there was a paycut involved. No proof of anything, though.

Sean Payton said Evans' contract would be altered last week. So no surprise. You have to figure a paycut.

Eh, I'm sure it's a minimum deal, and it will create competition for the slot CB. I don't see how this anything to get upset over.

We can't sign all Pro-Bowl caliber players. Besides, I'm all for giving higher drafted players a 2nd chance. I know it's one example, but Jerry Hughes went from being a 1st round bust in Indianapolis to a $45 million man in Buffalo after two seasons there. In no way am I saying that Wilson will have that kind of turn-around, but it's certainly worth a shot to kick the tires on him.

Wilson is a camp body. I doubt there is any guaranteed money or anything. Boom or bust, if he makes the team great, if not no big deal.

Yep. I'm reading this:

quote:

Nick Underhill ?@nick_underhill 25m25 minutes ago Kyle Wislon in the slot:
2014: 107.4 QB rating against
2013: 73.3
2012: 71
2011: 96
2010: 86.3

Yup. Whats with all the frowny faces

He's fighting for a job. If he makes the team good for him and hopefully for us down the road.

Until we see jari's numbers we wait

I think they are giving him more of a chance than that. However, there are 7 CBs on the roster.

quote:

Lewis, Browner, Wilson, Frederick, Breaux, Dixon, Jean-Baptiste

At least two (maybe three) of those guys are gone.

ETA: And they still could draft one. The numbers are not in Wilson's favor. He'll need to be really good in camp.
