He has been playing extremely well for the US and now he is gonna get consistent playing time at Orlando. He can be a great asset with his left foot, which is why brad fricking Davis not only made the team but played in the WC

He's looked good going forward. He seems way less interested in defending. I don't know if he has it in him to do his thing going forward but also track back to defend. Hopefully I'm wrong because I definitely think he has the talent to do it. At worst, I would take him as a sub playing further up on the left side late in games.

His defending was acceptable, but not spectacular. With that said, he was defending Shaqiri--who could make better defenders look worse.

In short, yeah, I think he probably does have a place in this squad.

It would make for a really good left side if they could make it work.

More like Shea needs his shite together.

Fab is playing good and is getting mins in Germany. But having Shea behind him could hamper his willingness to go forward more.

On the radio this morning the question was asked who has a permanent place on this team and Shea was the first answer.

His future, if any, is at LB. He is not a full international caliber player on the wing. Hence, why

and played better yesterday. If he can improve his defensive awareness, his size and ability to get forward from the LB position could be useful. He just lacks the requisite skill to be a consistent wide player in midfield.

Typical twitterverse kneejerkism mentality.

Eh, they probably said that because everyone knows JK has a man crush on Shea. I mean we all knew he was gonna be in this camp even though he's MLS based now.

If they think Brek Shea is top of the list of permanent spots, then they dont know what they are talking about.
