These are the 3 options I am considering:
Beretta Silver Pigeon, in 20 or 28ga
Browning Superposed, in 20ga
What say the OB?

That Browning is a beautiful o/u.

I have both, Beretta in 20/ Browning (citori) in 12. I like the fit and feel of the Beretta. Thinking of selling the Browning and getting the Beretta in a 12 also.

The Beretta will be new (or newer), I take it, and comes with chokes, with other chokes available. I've shot one, but for the money, I'd take a Browning Citori over it. It felt sturdier and swung better for me.
The Browning Superposed (unless I'm mistaken) will be fixed chokes. But that Superposed is

Correct. The Browning has fixed chokes. Most 20s are skeet / skeet, but I would want IC / Mod.

I picked up a SP in 28ga for the first time at the quail club the other day and almost took it home. Delightful in the hand.

I would choose the superposed, a real classic with good looks . Newer usually doesn't mean better with double guns. Plus I don't care for a polished receiver like some of the beretta's have

CSMC has been selling the entry level Beretta for a hair under $2k and you can save on taxes...

Also don't be scarred to purchase a used gun...

Good point.
Used is the only option for the Browning obviously. I have a soft spot but a high quality field example starts bumping up into Caesar Guerini territory. Also will have to watch out for salt guns.
Thanks everyone for the input.

Silver pigeon, you need to shoulder them to see which one you like

What quail club are you in?

I'm a big fan of Beretta. Have one in twelve and want several more.

I was hunting at one in South Carolina as a guest.

Ok, I am in one near Perdue Hill, AL. We had a guy from shotgun world over buying a GSP and he was from SC.

Nice. The name of the one I hunted was Backwoods Quail Club near Georgetown, SC. Did quail, pheasant, and chukar on the last hunt.

We had a pheasant shoot last weekend. Killed 36. Actually just took a few off the grill. If you are in AL and want to go next year, just let me know.
