quote:No kidding. Baton Rouge is by far and away the absolute worst.
New Orleans isn't even the worst traffic in the state.

Those times are never right for me. I'm always at least 5-10 minutes in front of them, and he just said to the west bank. I'd bet on me making it in under 45 minutes to whatever detonation you picked most days.

Gotta read the details on these "studies". This one was produced by TomTom, which is a 2nd or 3rd rate mapping service. (They helped produce that abortion of an app, "apple maps".)
Bottom line is that new orleans traffic is not nearly as bad as this "study" claims. There are alternate routes for almost every commute in the city that doesnt involve crossing a lake or river.

I don't think the traffic is too bad here. It is definitely worse in Baton Rouge.

New Orleans problem is not enough lanes.
That's every city. They didn't build in anticipation for hundreds of thousands of people. The only place that I know of that built roads in anticipation for traffic is Naypyidaw, Burma

Well your app must work different than mine cause it is usually extremely accurate for me. I use it every day when deciding to hit the interstate or go up Canal. To each their own, I just despise sitting in traffic. I will drive through neighborhoods the entire way rather than inching my way along the interstate.

Yall want me to start a BR sucks at something thread? Will that make everyone feel better?

New Orleans traffic is interconnected with the lack of outdoor activities. First, if the city had more outdoor activities, not as many people would be on the road driving around. Second, the few activities the city offers (jogging along St. Charles Ave) can create a buildup of traffic. Drivers who are turning across the avenue must stop and wait for the joggers to pass by. Thus, holding up traffic.

Crescent City Connection after 4 is a parking lot.

I mean, we have a report saying it is one of the worse, and Nola people still cant take it The Pelicans should have been the New Orleans Insecurites
I live in Houston, and I'm telling you that Houston has better movement than BR. BR is just insanity when it comes to traffic

Good, everyone stay away and it'll get better.

Well considering I commute 90 miles each way out and back into the city every day via I-10 and my drive is 1hr 15min I see the traffic and it's not bad. No way it's the worst in the world.

This has to be one of the dumbest comments I've ever read on this site.

Either that or looking at the co-eds.

As usual, New Orleans topping yet another list while Baton Rouge lags behind.
NOLA traffic is slow because of the drivers, and shitty at times because of the layout of places like Uptown, but in general I think BR has far worse traffic. It's been this way ever since Katrina.

Traffic in Memphis flows quite nicely. People here don't know what traffic is. It's glorious.
There's no traffic because no one wants to live there.
